Xceed RC 4200 NiMh pack & Air Filter set

Two new products from Xceed RC, who have released a complete off road air filter set as well as this 4200 NiMh battery pack. The 6 cell 7.2V pack is pre assembled and comes with a Tamiya style plug, making it suitable for use in RC cars as well as starter boxes and other uses. The air filter set includes a hard plastic case and top plate that keeps the filter elements well mounted and protected. The 2 foam elements are precision cut from quality foam that is great for retaining the filter oil while allowing for optimal air flow.

Atomic Mini-Z Championship report

Atomic Mini-Z Championship report

The Atomic Mini-Z Championship 2009 was held last weekend in Hong Kong and attracted drivers from around the world with the best drivers from 8 countries coming together to battle for the title. Racers came from China, France, Spain, USA, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and of course from host country Hong Kong with around 50 drivers in total for this exciting race. The race format consisted of qualifying on Saturday, with the finals taking place on Sunday. The modified class was won by Chung Wai Kit, while in the Kyosho class it was fellow Hong Kong driver Joel Leung that took the victory.

Award Ceremony at West Nitro Brunch

Award Ceremony at West Nitro Brunch

In a ceremonious environment 38 impressive trophies were presented to the best of the 2009 NRW Challenge and the 2009 Western German Championship. Around 60 rc drivers, wives and girlfriends attended the “West Nitro Brunch” held at Oberhausen last Sunday. It has been the first time that such a prize giving ceremony was held for both on road categories 1/8 and 1/10 in Western Germany. Finally, this award has been an astonishing success. The atmosphere was excellent with lots of exciting “nitro talks” and consequently all participants have asked to repeat the “West Nitro Brunch” again in 2010.

Motonica 18T Clutch pinion gear

Motonica 18T Clutch pinion gear

Italian company Motonica have announced the release of this new 18T clutch pinion. This precision part has been machined from Ergal 7075 and is an optional second gear for the 1/8th scale P81 chassis. This pinion is also compatible with the clutch bell on the P8C and P8F series.

The guys over at the popular TV show RC Racing have been in touch to show us a teaser for what we can expect from Season 4. Starting up again on December 2nd, coverage will include the Large Scale Euros, HPI Baja Endurance, Short Course Racing, Formula Ten Challenge, the DHI Cup, the 1/8th on road Worlds and the Snowbirds, as well as the 1/12th scale Euros and 1/10th and 1/12th scale World Championships.

Chad Due & Steven Just win 2009 Electric Fall Classic

This past weekend Leisure Hours Raceway presented the 2009 Electric Fall Classic and with over 140 entries this year, it would prove to be another great event. In the competitive 2wd Modified class it was Chad Due, driving his JConcepts equipped Factory Team RC10B4, who was able to TQ with the only 18 lap run of the day. Using TQ honors, Chad was able to jet away from the field and secure the top spot on the podium. 4wd Modified again saw Chad Due, driving his Factory Team B44, taking the TQ honors. In the main however unfortunate circumstances took Chad out early leaving local Wisconsin driver Steven Just, also equipped with JConcepts, to cruise to victory lane.

Thomas Desmaries wins 2009 French Cup

Thomas Desmaries wins French National Cup

The French National Cup for 1/10th scale gas took place recently in Normandy in the North of France. After qualifying, it was Mugen Seiki driver Thomas Desmaries that took the pole position ahead of Kyosho driver Nicolas Bougnoteau in 2nd and Basile Concialdi driving the Xray NT1 lining up in 3rd position. In the final, there was a race long battle up front with Desmaries or Concialdi inseparable after 45 minutes of racing. In the end the race was won by Thomas Desmaries, only 2 seconds clear of second place Basile Concialdi, with the last step of the podium going to Mickael Derderian.
