Alien Power have expanded their product range with the release of a new motor range and connection plugs. The Ultimate brushless motor series are sensorless sport / stock motors with a black cooling case which come in 9T, 10T, 12T and 13T. Also new are a set of male and female 6mm diameter high voltage plugs.

Caster Racing USA announced today the signing of multiple time 1/18th scale champion, Tim Mohr, to their factory team for 2009. Mohr will be racing the new Caster Fusion EX-1R Factory Team buggy at the 2009 RC Pro Series, along with selected other events. Tim of St. Louis Missouri, jumped into the public eye by winning many titles in 1/18th scale classes, including the 2008 q/18th Dirt 4wd and 2wd Pro titles and the 2007 RC Pro Series q/18th Scale title, among others. He was also an early proponent of brushless motors and lithium batteries for use in rc car racing and said the following:
Electric eight scale is at the cutting edge of technology in our sport, right where I like to be. I’m really stoked to be given the chance to race the Caster Fusion EX-1, as it sets the standard for the class.

Rymart Racing have been in contact to tell us about new products from Ghea and Rogue element. From Ghea is this brass front bulkhead and delrin front brace kit. Adding 23g of weight to the front end of your B4 in the most effective manner, testing has found this to be the ideal amount. Also from Ghea is a brass rear block with internal plastic bushing for a smooth action and longer lasting block. Finally from Rogue Element is the SCAB, an Internal Slipper adjustment for your B4. New from Factory team are these 1/8th scale muffler and header. Perfect for your RC8, SC8 and RC8T this 3-chamber muffler provides the best combination of bottom end punch and top end performance. Hard anodised they are EFRA Homologated (#2035). Also new from FT, for the RC8T are a pair of narrow aluminium wheel hexes. Recommended for use in both the front and rear of your RC8T and RC8T RS, they reduce your overall width by 9.0mm, yielding quicker steering response and more speed through the corners. Finally for the RC8T are front and rear chassis braces, made from aluminium, which both help stiffen the chassis in bending and torsion.

New from IDM, the brand from World Champion Daniele Ielasi, are these new 1/8th scale tires with aerodynamic disk. Made from Carbon, this system has been tested throughout the year, including almost winning the European Championships in Valencia, and is expected to make a big impact on performance at the high speed Lostallo track in Switzelrand, host of next years World Championships. They will be available after the Nuremberg toy fair next February.

Hobbytech have released details of their new STR8 V3 1/8th scale buggy. Featuring a totally new transmission system, there is a new CNC helicoidal gear for the front and rear, as well as a new CNC machined 46T centre gear. Other new features include a lightweight brake joint for the front & rear, a new stronger diff case, new Ackerman bar for more steering angle, new 4mm spring steel steering turnbuckles, plus more.

Team Magic have announced their latest 1/8th scale buggy, the B8RS. Following feedback gained from track testing and driver feedback, they claim to have produced a car that is not only more agile, thanks in part to its lighter weight, but also more durable. The shock absorbers are big bore versions that are said to have been heavily beefed up to resist the rigours of off road racing. TM will release more information soon.
