HPI Racing Patrick Charger & Dock

Made in collaboration with Much More in Korea, HPI Racing have announced the release of this new charger, for some reason called Patrick. Powered by mains supply or alternatively from a 12V DC source, this charger works with 1 – 14 NiCd and NiMh cells and 1 – 6 LiPo cells. Featuring the usual adjustments you find in a high end charger, it has a charging and discharging range of 0.1A ~ 6A and has a temperature based cut off system. As with the Much More system, there is an additional docking station sold for the charger that allows you to connect a number of other items that require specific leads, such as transmitter and receiver packs.

As Europeans that own Team Losi and Team Associated cars will know only too well that obtaining the correct wrenches can be a problem so Fastrax have released this handy boxed 6 piece set that includes wrenches and screw drivers all at a low price. All tools feature machined aluminium knurled handles, with the wrenches having laser etched identification, and the set includes .050″, 1/16″, 5/64″ and 3/32″ sizes as well as a Phillips and flat head screw driver.

Designed for use with radio, mini and conventional sub-C batteries, the user can choose 1, 2 and 4-amp selectable charge rates with peak detection for optimal battery performance. De Felici takes National Warm up win

De Felici takes National Warm up win

Xray have a report from Italian NT1 racer Giorgio De Felici who was attending the warm up race for the first round of the Italian 200mm Nationals Championships held at the Cassino track. With around 60 drivers in attendance it was European B Champion Alessio Mazzeo driving a Serpent that took the pole position ahead of Giorgio De Felici in 2nd. In the final De Felici started with very large diameter tires and this caused some problems at the start, but meant he had more tires at the end of the race, and with Mazzeo sidelined early on, he could get into the lead and take the win ahead of Serpent racer Simone Peretti in 2nd and Xray racer Stefano De Rossi in 3rd.

Pro-10 is poised to make a return as a popular racing class, with racers tiring of the costs, complexity and steep learning curve associated with 4wd sedans and are expected to embrace this new class as an inexpensive, fast and simple way to enjoy racing again. BMI Racing’s R&D team have been working to develop a state of the art Pro-10 car that is a leap beyond the old technology of 235mm pan cars, the result of this program being the new DB10R.

Serpent S400 Mid axle One-way

Serpent have announced the latest new performance product for the Serpent S400 190mm touring car. The new central axle one-way 16T pulley is perfect for stock racers, where braking is kept to a minimum, and for all racers running on large open tracks. Enabling the front drive train to run free when off power, it enables the racer to carry more speed into the corner. The pulley has been made from hard anodised aluminium and is not only light but also extremely durable.
