Reedy Race of Champions winner Atsushi Hara continued his winning form with an impressive victory at the finale of the 2007/2008 Euro Touring Series. The Hot Bodies driver put in a great performance at the German Andernach track with European Champion Ronald Volker the only one of the world class field able to pose any serious threat to the Japanese ace, while US Champion Paul Lemieux rounded out the top 3. In the Stock class it was Alexander Stocker that dominated proceedings, taking the 2 wins and wrapping up the round win, as well as series title, with one A-main leg left to run. Hara & Stocker take ETS Rd4 TQ

Hara & Stocker take ETS Rd4 TQ

As predicted following the blistering pace he set in timed practice yesterday, Atsushi Hara has TQ’d for the finale of the inaugural Euro Touring Series at Andernach in Germany. The former World Champion has been in a league of his own despite the world class field competing at the event this weekend. Winning the first two heats with ease Hara was expected to secure pole for the A Mains in the third round but the Japanese ace made a rare driver error and pulled up early. Round 4 however it was back to business for the Hot Bodies team driver taking the win and achieve an unbeatable zero score to guarantee the TQ. In Pro Stock, German Hot Bodies Cyclone racer Alexander Stocker locked up the TQ spot after the 3rd round and goes into tomorrows final looking to take the overall Stock Championship having won the first round of the series in Kastellaun.

Exclusive – New Corally RDX Phi

Exclusive - New Corally RDX Phi

Seen on the pit table of Corally team driver Marc Fisher, who is present at the 4th round of the European Touring Series in Andernach, Germany, we got an exclusive look at the new prototype Corally RDX Phi. Due to be used by the factory team at the European Championships next month in Vila Real Spain, the new car sports all new geometry front and rear and a more conventional shock absorber mounting, mounted to the rear of the rear shock tower and not to the front as on the current car. Designed to cure some problems that affected the cars handling, Fisher is getting used to the cars settings in order to gain more knowledge prior to the Europeans. Also new on Marc’s car is the GM Genius 120 brushless speed controller that has a much smaller footprint than the previous versions and comes with a built in cooling fan.

UPDATE: We have been asked by Corally, through Marc Fisher, to remove the images as he was apparently not meant to show anyone the car….Doh! We will of course oblige, even though most people have already seen it, to stop Marc getting into any more trouble.
