…stay dry for the rest of the week, we should see a full days running today. Of course drivers who got some practice in on Sunday can now find themselves at an advantage over those that only arrived on Monday but the morning break gave everyone the chance to get their stuff together and catch up with old friends. The Xray team also got some time to build their NT1’s with some drivers only receiving the car in kit form when they arrived at the track. So we move from one big race in Florida to another with the Worlds best RC racers arriving at the Ft Myers track to the north of Orlando where we just had the Snowbirds. Many drivers from this race will make the Journey to race here including most of the Xray team who will give the NT1 its debut International race on this, one of the most unforgiving tracks in the World. As of Sunday, almost every one is there including the large Serpent team from Europe that includes Salven, Green, Keur, Cornella, Tomaschko and Kandelhart. The Mugen team is…

…NT1 200mm gas touring car. The multiple Austrian champion and WC/EC finalist will join the Slovakian team with immediate effect and will line up alongside Groskamp, Christensen, Peracho, LeMieux, Burch and Baker to make a formidable team. The main reasons for my decision to move to Team XRAY are the independent self-production of every part of the car (the XRAY factory is really amazing!), the possibility for quick changes to different parts, and of course the really great teamwork. Again more pictures from our roving reporter, this time from the large and rather extravagent Xray booth were there was lots of eye candy to look at. Of course Xray were the big news company at the show with the release of their NT1, XT8 and XB8-EC and so its only fitting that they have a huge gallery will all sorts of goodies on display for you to feast your eyes over including more close ups of the NT1 without motor and its new flex chassis. I’m sorry for the 3 Xray posts in a row but they have some highly anticipated cars coming out and none more so than the all new Xray NT1 as seen above (click image for larger pic). This car has been majorly hyped and made its small time debut a few weeks back when it won a regional race on its first outing in Florida with the cars international debut comes in 2 weeks at the Florida Winternats. What about the car itself, well from what we can see it bears close similarities to the Mugen MTX and Kyosho RRR…

In Xrays efforts to create a super star team they have acquired the services of Danish racer Martin Christensen. European champion in the now almost dead 235mm class, Martin has also won multiple Danish national titles as well the Nordic Championships on 2 occasions and is definitely a quick racer. When I arrived at the track and testing area, I was met with a familiarly noise – nitro engines! There was an indoor track with enough space to hold big indoor nitro races.
