Bernd Rausch wins rainy race in Western Germany

…ranking Werner Vogel (580 points) leads the GP-Pro class ahead of Marvin Schumann (552) and Marco Nenner (475), Carsten Dieckmann (563) is the leader of the GP-Sport class in front of Robert Emmerich (528) and Michael Stein (518). Racing in Western Germany continues with round two of the Nitro West Masters, open for 1/8 and 1/10 nitro on road, on the upcoming weekend (05/06 June) at Dueren with already 40 competitors in the entry list. Easy win for Michael Salven in Western Germany

…Schwartz and eleven years old Leon Steinwartz, in the second race Schwartz came in second in front of Moritz, Classen and Steinwartz. Even the attendance has been poor, the racers enjoyed a nice weekend in good atmosphere and with lots of sun. The 1/8 racers have to wait two month until round three will be held on 17/18 July at Dormagen close to Cologne. Next race events in Western Germany are round three of the 1/10 championship on 29/30 May in Bad Breisig and round two of the Nitro West Masters on 05/06 June in Dueren. Salven takes West German 1/10th Rd2 victory

…the KWC (Kyosho World Cup) group West showed that they are really not afraid of water. The grid for the final race was completely full with ten cars. Following an exciting 30 minutes competition is was TQ man Georg Goehlich who earned the biggest trophy winning with two laps over Carsten Diekmann. Old-hand Werner Vogel, winner of the season opener at Dormagen, came in on third. Following three championship rounds in a row in Western Germany they racers are facing a weekend free for testing. They will join again for the next race meeting at Dueren on 15/16 of May…

Tobias Hepp wins 1/8 opener in Western Germany

Round one of the 1/8 nitro Western German Championship saw Tobias Hepp taking full points for the qualification of the German Nationals which will be held in September in Roetz in Southern Germany. The 16 years old Hepp achieved his victory in class 1 in front of Steven Cuypers and Frank Schewiola while 15 years old Jean-Pierre Roenicke with his victory in class 2 making it a day for the youth. Rene Puepke wins 1/10 opener in Western Germany

He did it again, Rene Puepke has won the first of four races of the 2010 Western German Championship in the 1/10th nitro class just as he did one year ago. At the unforgiving 267 meter track at Dormagen, before the gates of Cologne, the Mugen team driver finished first with a two lap advantage over Serpent racer Tobias Hepp and another lap in front of Mugen fellow Daniel Thiele. In picture-book weather, 51 drivers enjoyed a great racing weekend with a well-organised event of the MCK Dormagen. Only the poor discipline of the drivers going to their marshalling positions…

Exciting season opener for the Nitro West Masters at Oberhausen

There are a couple of question marks when the first round of the Nitro West Masters is held on the Easter weekend at Oberhausen: Who has changed chassis? Who is racing which engine? Who is already well prepared after the long winter? How are the new balance of power in the 1/8 and 1/10 nitro on road classes? Mugen Germany boosted into new on-road season

Mugen has boosted its German team for the 2010 on road season. Since years Sebastian Buerge, Rene Puepke and Philipp Sting have been pillars of Mugen Team Germany which has now seen Christian Wurst coming home to the Japanese manufacturer as well as Joerg and Uwe Baldes as newcomers. Needless to say that factory driver Robert Pietsch will also keep the Mugen flag flying on German tracks, as well as Steven Cuypers from Belgium. “We have a strong and experienced team to enter races in Germany and of course on an international level”, says Stefan Habbecke of Mugen Seiki Europe…

3h race at Oberhausen cancelled

The 3-hour race for 1/10 scale nitro touring cars which was supposed to be run the upcoming Saturday at Oberhausen in Western Germany has been canceled. Following the insufficient number of entries the organising MRC Alstaden Oberhausen had no other option than to refuse this long distance race. Nevertheless, in case of a lively interest it is still possible to held the event later this year.
