Rebellion-RC A800 MMCX narrow main chassis

RC-Carbonstore have introduced the new Rebellion-RC narrow carbon fibre main chassis kit for the Awesomatix A800 MMCX mid-motor touring car. Due to the use of much harder carbon fibre material compared to the stock main plate, the designers were able to create a chassis that is 8mm narrower than the stock plate, without sacrificing overall stiffness and flex characteristics, which results in a lot less chassis scrubbing during hard cornering. To further gain advantages of the new narrow design, the old short lower arms mounting positions were removed in favour of a streamlined design that further adds ground clearance during cornering or while riding curbs. In addition to making the chassis slimmer, the main plate also features a 4.5mm more forward battery and a 2.5mm more forward servo position in order to gain smoother corner apex steering while getting a more stable rear end under acceleration. The slimmer chassis design also allowed to reposition the anti-roll bars without having to change anything to the wires or mounts. Other new features include slightly enlarged motor cutouts that allow for easier ESC wire routing underneath the motor can while also preventing the motor from touching the chassis. In order to optimise overall flex, the under-spool and under-diff cutouts were reshaped while additional mounting positions for Rebellion-RC’s new MMCX weight set allow easy mounting of the floating receiver and fan mount plate as well as the forthcoming new Y-stiffener. The chassis is rounded out by mounting positions for Rebellion-RC’s signature under-battery rubber dots, a 0.3×45 degree lower chamfer for looks and durability and it is available in 2.0mm, 2.2mm and 2.5mm thickness.

JConcepts JCI Junior Mortician 12.5″ wheelbase body

Coming from JConcepts is the JCI Junior Mortician body for the Axial SMT10 and similar vehicles. The converted to panel truck body is competition friendly with its compact size and uniquely shaped front and rear fender designs. As a racer, front and rear clearance is important for racing and freestyle competition and the Junior Mortician is tightly compressed to help pull-off the most ridiculous freestyle runs possible. Looking into the eyes of the body shell tells you everything you need to know, a menacing and battle tested beast rests behind those optics. JConcepts created an angular front-end, platform front flares for a vintage feel and a very broad centre grille section to back up promises of massive carnage. The panel truck cab and roof-over section is flat and to the point, the windshield has a slight V-treatment for realism. Maximum imagination to the masses is what this body shell is all about with the large exposure panel areas. The tall panel section is a bonus, an art-board in a sense to decorate, decal or paint however the user desires. Included in each body set comes a clear and heavy-duty polycarbonate body, decal sheet and the paint mask for all windows.

JConcepts 1987 Buick Grand National Street Eliminator body

JConcepts have introduced their latest Street Eliminator body shell, the infamous 1987 Buick Grand National. The American produced, sinister, wedged shaped vehicle is now released to the RC enthusiast to fit the latest Street Eliminator vehicles on the market. The crew in the JConcepts R&D department tackled one of its finest projects to date and together with Chevrolet licensing has produced some exciting muscle. The G-body construction is a shape fit for the RC scene. The vehicles which are wide-bodied, flat panelled and have a low-roof line always track well down the racetrack. A low front chin, bumper construction and pocketed headlights immediately look like punishment is headed your way. The long and swooping quarter-panels are a staple of this generation vehicle and it certainly cuts like a knife on the drag strip. Fender flares are apparent and appropriately positioned and sized for tires like the JConcepts Hotties tyres. The cab itself is one of the identifiable features of the GNX and its balanced positioning and sharp lines makes competitors retreat in fear. Rear bumper creation was detailed even allowing position for personalised license plate from the included decal sheet. A small built-in rear spoiler keeps things looking original for those sleepy builds and creations. Included in each body set, a 1987 Buick Grand National decal sheet and the paint mask for all windows.
