Teamsaxo GT-802 1/8th on-road tyre

Made for 1/8th scale GT cars or 1/8th buggies run on asphalt are the new GT-802 tyres from Teamsaxo. They are moulded from a special compound that has fibres mixed into it to reduce tyre expansion at high speeds or when the tyre temperature raises. A special V-shape tread improves traction on permanent and parking lot tracks and the tyre comes pre-mounted on durable white or black multi-spoke nylon rims.

Maifield bids farewell to Associated

Maifield bids farewell to Associated

With Team Associated having confirmed his exit from their team, effective July 1st, Ryan Maifield has sent us the following statement bidding farewell to the team that gave him his big break some 13 years ago.

As most of you have heard Associated/Reedy and I have parted ways. I have had a lot of success, fun and great experiences with the guys at Associated over the years and I will always cherish those memories. I want to thank them for everything they have done for me so far in my career, especially Brent Thielke, Richard Saxton, Sean Cockran, and Cliff Lett. Without their guidance and support I couldn’t have accomplished what I have accomplished. Especially early on in my career, they gave me everything I needed to be successful in this industry, on and off the track and I will always appreciate that. I hope to remain friends with everyone at Associated and I wish them luck in the future.

However the Asian company will have several new option parts such as the “LDS” Lightened Drive System with new driveshafts, bearings, gears and more, along other new upgrades to make the buggy “Worlds ready”. More information will become available in the near future.
