Jason Branham to use Beta Racing Tires

Hobby Pro USA have announced that Agama driver Jason Branham will join Beta Racing Tires in 2012. Pro Driver Jason Branham said “First of all I would like to thank Pro-Line, Todd Mattson, Tim Clark and Daniel Adams for all the help and support over the last 6 years. Everyone at Pro-Line has been very committed to helping me as much as possible and for that I can’t say thank you enough. I’m excited to move on to Beta tires for 2012 and I want to thank Beta, Gene Hickerson and Andrew Smolnik for this opportunity. I’ve had very positive testing sessions with the Beta Tires and they feel extremely planted and consistent. Looking forward to using their products!”

Pro-Line sign Adam Drake

Pro-Line has made another big name signing with the announcement that Adam Drake will join their team. AS Hobby Racing Zytech Ginetta body

AS Hobby Racing in Italy have released the their 1/8th Zytech Ginetta body. Designed by Pietro Corradini, who has worked in the Ferrari Formula 1 team for 35 years, the body has been tested on the track of Cassino “Lamberto Collari” and Fiorano “Jody Scheckter” with excellent results.

Ronald Volker wins VRC EP World title

Yokomo/LRP ace Ronald Völker has added a second VRC Pro World Championship title to his impressive racing legacy. After already winning in 2008 he was now victorious in the 2011 VRC Pro worlds held at the Eppelheim track, the very same track where the LRP Touring Car Masters will be held end of March. In the final Ronald was challenged by Martin Wollanka from Austria who managed to stay within 3 tenths of Ronald but a crash in lap 11 put him 2 seconds back and although he was able to make 2 tenth up in the next 5 laps Ronald ‘Mr. Consistent’ Völker cruised home with a 3.5 second gap at the finish line on Wollanka.

LRP Touring Car Masters – Announcement

LRP have announced that the 15th running of the LRP Touring Car masters will take place from the 30th of March to the 1st of April in Eppelheim, close to Heidelberg, Germany. Open to both modified and open stock classes, as well as the usual round of the LRP-HPI-Challenge, the event attracts big name drivers who will all be looking to prevent the winner of the last two years Ronald Volker from making it 3 in a row. Pro-Line sign WC Cody King

Pro-Line have made the announcement that they have signed current 1/8th offroad World Champion Cody King away from AKA. Tim Clark said “The Pro-Line Team is excited to announce current IFMAR World Champ Cody King on our team roster for 2012. Cody and his father, Paul King, refined their nitro racing skills as Pro-Line Team members during the peak of the Pro-Line Saturday Series and have since proven themselves as World Class competitors with many national caliber wins and a current IFMAR world title.
