Renaud Savoya confirms Durango departure

Renaud Savoya confirms Durango departure

Three time European Champion Renaud Savoya has confirmed to us his departure from Team Durango in an exclusive interview with Red RC today. The French man joined the team at the end of last year following 3 ultra successful seasons with Mugen. Having announced his move to the US late last year where he was expected to be a strong contender, he struggled to find pace with the car all season and this continued to his domestic series where he could only net himself a handful of podiums. Last month a below par showing at the European Championships in Germany where as reigning 3 time champion he failed to make the final for the first time further highlighted the ‘Shark’s’ struggle to adapt to the car. Talking to Renaud at this race you could tell that he was looking for change and so with today’s confirmation he has left the team he joined just 9 months ago.

Durango DNX408 +2mm Adapters & updated fuel tank

Durango have released some more new parts for the DNX408 starting with these wheel adapters that fit either the front or rear of the car to increase the width of the buggy by 2mm on both sides. Increasing the width of the buggy increases the stability. Use these on the front to increase the stability of the front end of the buggy, or the rear to increase the stability of the rear end of the buggy. Also new is a revised fuel tank which has an integrated splash and overfill guard, preventing any fuel from spilling over onto the steering servo. The back pressure inlet has been also relocated to stop fuel from being aerated during refueling. The tank is made from a clear material, allowing great visibility of the fuel level in the tank and also features an integrated fuel filter to stop and dirt or debris getting passed into the engine.

With third position in qualifying just 4/10 of a second behind European Champion Robert Pietsch “Mr. Serpent” showed that he hasn’t lost any of his speed.
