Xray Racing Series Slovenia Rd4 – Report

The fourth and final round of the Xray Racing Series Slovenia was held at the Genius Ring in Medeuzza recently with drivers from five different countries including Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Italy and Slovenia in attendance. In the Touring 13.5T class the pole went to Nejc Mihelic, followed by Bjan Miklozic and Soren Bang while in Formula 21.5 it was Federico Antonazzo on pole, followed by Nicola Zuccheri and Arno Webernig. The Touring A-main saw a dominating win for Nejc Mihelic (Xray) who was closely followed by Bjan Miklozic (Xray). 3rd place went to Fran Ivan Skoric (Awesomatix).

WRC Racing STX.7 mid-motor touring car kit

Italian company WRC Racing have introduced their all-new STX.7 4WD mid-motor touring car kit. The car builds on a carbon fibre double deck chassis with a centrally mounted motor mount, a rear-facing layshaft and non-equal length drive belts. The steering utilises WRC’s proven curved rail design with a low centre of gravity servo mount. An off-road-inspired battery mount uses rubber O-rings to secure the battery pack, doing away with the common use of reinforced battery tape or battery taps. Other features include ultra low-profile shock towers and shock absorbers, easily adjustable body mounts that allow for 0mm, 0.5mm and 1.0mm height adjustments by simply twisting them and new low-friction driveshaft blades ensure an efficient drivetrain. JC Racing Products finned 1/8 buggy wing brace

JC Racing Products from the UK have introduced their new finned wing brace for 1/8th buggy wings. 3-D-printed using a high-quality fibre-reinforced material, the wing brace incorporates connected wing buttons for convenient mounting with a centre fin not only looking cool but also helping with aerodynamics. The brace can be produced to fit most wings and 1/8th off-road kits.

Xray XB8’20 1/8th nitro buggy kit

Xray have introduced the latest incarnation of their highly successful XB8 1/8th scale nitro buggy platform, the XB8 2020. This year’s variant of the company’s IFMAR vice World Championship and EFRA European Championship winning buggy features some subtle updates and improvements that still target pretty much every aspect of the buggy, be it the chassis, drivertain or suspension. And so the 2020 variant builds on a redesigned 3mm 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that is 4mm longer for improved overall stability while the included hard composite radio box increases chassis rigidity and handling consistency. The harder composite material also retains its stiffness in very high temperature conditions.

Maclan Racing sign Brandon Rose

Maclan Racing have announced the addition of US off-road frontrunner, Brandon Rose to their factory team. Brandon has been showing his talent in 1/8th racing and he will be using Maclan Racing’s MMax 8 ESC and MR8.3 motors in his 2020 program.

Coming from Pro-Line and made for the Arrma Kraton 8S monster truck are the new pre-cut Brute polycarbonate and Bash Armour body shells. The Brute is Pro-Line’s take on a modern truck and features a bold grill with eye-pleasing body lines sure to turn heads at the local bash spot. This body has been specifically designed to fit the unique shape of the Kraton 8S while allowing to add a custom paint job to the truck when using the clear polycarbonate version. Window masks, detailed decal sheet and paint then peel over-spray film are all included.

Xray XB8 & XT8 IFMAR-legal rear wing

Xray have announced the release of their new IFMAR-legal rear wing for the XB8 and XT8 off-road vehicles. The stylish rear wing was designed to provide the appropriate amount of downforce and generate required stability for the car. Made from a strong special composite mixture, the wing will survive severe abusive and extreme crashes while keeping its shape. Taller sides plates improve high speed stability, meet IFMAR rules and the wing is available in black, white or fluorescent yellow colour.
