Novarossi introduce new 1/8th buggy clutch

Novarossi announce the release of a new 4-shoe clutch system for 1/8th off-road buggies. The clutch is of a completely tuneable design using different spring and shoe combinations, with the springs being available in three different hardnesses while the clutch shoes come made from aluminium and controlled friction CFM material. The clutch is meant to reduce fuel consumption and improve traction at the same time while making for a more efficient power delivery.

RB Rocket limited edition .21 off-road engine

RB’s new .21 Rocket engine is the follow-up model of the long-running and now sold out Blast line of engines. The limited edition piece is of a long stroke design, it offers a 14.5mm lightened and balanced turbo crankshaft, a 7-port multi-exhaust liner, a lightweight piston and a strong competition conrod. The composite slide carburettor comes with three 6mm to 8mm venturi inserts and the black-coated crankcase is equipped with a 14.5mm high-speed bearing and topped by a new 60mm orange anodised and laser-engraved cooling head. The engine is available separately or including an EFRA 2097 in-line pipe and manifold set.

H-Speed Smoothies 1/10th scale shock O-rings

H-Speed introduce the Smoothies shock absorber O-rings for a range of 1/10th scale on-road and off-road vehicles such as the ones from Team Associated, Losi, Team C, Tamiya, Xray and Yokomo. The white colour O-rings offer the smoothest possible shock action without the often feared swelling or leaking for consistent damping characteristics over a long period of time. The O-rings come in packs of 8 and they are available now.

SWorkz S350T 1/8th scale nitro truggy kit

Following a first teaser image SWorkz now release more photos and first information on their forthcoming S350T 1/8th nitro truggy kit. The vehicle is based on a black hard-coated 7075-T6 aluminium chassis and features a sealed front and rear arm design, a newly designed rear lower plastic insert toe-in system, as well as hex-cell shock bladders and dampers with 4mm shock shafts. The shock towers are made from lightweight 7075 aluminium with the drivetrain sporting full CVD driveshafts, 2.0 metal brake callipers and ultra-durable crown and pinion gears. The package is rounded out by the Power Steering Package radio tray system and a “Speed Rhinocero” bodyshell.

STRC Stealth Black B5 aluminium option parts

For those racers that are looking to trick out their B5 and B5M in that “stealth” factory look, ST Racing Concepts now offer a complete line of B5 series option parts in black anodising. The line includes a 25 degree front bulkhead, HD front kingpin brace, front camber blocks, a steering bellcrank set, a rear chassis brace/camber link mount, rear hex adapters, upper shocks mount bushings, rear hub carriers and a finned aluminium motor plate. All parts are CNC-machined from high quality aluminium and are direct replacement.

Arrowmax B-Max2 rear brass bulkhead set

Made for Yokomo’s B-Max2 2WD buggy is this rear brass bulkhead set from Arrowmax. The multi-piece part replaces the stock bulkhead with a heavier and more rigid solution for an improved weight balance and a rock solid rear end. The bulkhead weighs in at 36g, it incorporates a rear swaybar mounting system for high-bite surfaces and it is available now.

JConcepts Bullet 60mm 1/10th buggy wheels

JConcepts introduce their new Bullet 60mm off-road wheels for 1/10th scale buggies. The wheels are sized at the industry interchangeable 60mm and offer a slight concave dish shaped design on the AE wheels and slightly convex shape on the TLR line of wheels to stand apart giving each line their unique appearance. The wheels incorporate an outer glue catch that resists excess glue from running down the wheel face during the gluing process. Wheel sets are available for all popular Team Associated, TLR, Kyosho, Yokomo, Serpent and Xray 2WD and 4WD vehicles and they require tires and inserts designed for 60mm bead mounting diameter and are not completely interchangeable with their 2.2” counterparts. Although these popular large wheel sets are not a replacement for 2.2” wheels nor ROAR legal at this time, they remain a popular tuning aid to racers always pushing for excellence.

Mugen MBX7R 1/8th nitro off-road buggy

In the build up to the 2014 IFMAR 1/8th Nitro Off-Road World Championships in Italy Mugen Seiki introduce the follow-up model of the 2012 Worlds winning MBX7. Not a revolution but an evolution of the existing design, the kit features improvements in the suspension and steering areas along other subtle changes. Mugen concentrated on making the suspension on the MBX7R even better with new 16mm bodied front and rear racing shocks. These new shocks will improve stability in both bumps and jumps greatly. The bigger bodies’ shocks will make the 7R have less fade during longer runs which means you can drive even harder than ever before. The rear shocks are 4mm shorter and with the use of a new rear shock tower will keep the back of the 7R hooked up and on the ground. The 7R gets a chassis change with the side angle of the chassis changed which creates more strength and a better feeling on all racing surfaces.
