Exotek SRX-2 servo mounts & battery strap

Exotek have first option parts for the Serpent SRX-2 buggy available in the form of aluminium servo mounts and a carbon fibre battery strap. First up are the servo mounting brackets, machined from high quality aluminium the parts come in Serpent orange or glossy gun metal finish and replace the stock plastic mounts with a more rigid and cooler looking alternative. Also new is the Flite LiPo battery strap for the rear motor SRX-2. Weighting in at only 4.8g the carbon fibre part is not only over 5g lighter than the stock part but it also gives added clearance allowing to run the battery in a more forward position while mounting the speedo behind the battery for improved balance. The brace is usable with stock or aftermarket thumb screws.

Team Durango DEX210v2 2WD buggy

Team Durango introduce the new DEX210v2 2WD electric off-road buggy. Building on the popular DEX210 platform the updated v2 version features a good amount of new features and updated parts such as an 8mm longer chassis for improved stability, new straight design front wishbones for increased ground clearance and redesigned front and rear shock towers for added crash stability, additional setup options and better stability when landing jumps. In addition to the new front lower A-arms the kit also received new rear arms, longer differential outdrives, updated driveshafts and also new gearbox halves with added camber link mounts. Team Durango also worked on the durability by adding an aluminium steering link plate, new DIMEC X ball cups and an aluminium RR -2mm low roll centre suspension mount. Included with the kit, that allows to build your choice of a mid or rear motor buggy straight from the box, are also a redesigned bodyshell and a new rear wing.

New LRP Competition Car Line hardcase LiPo packs

Available soon from LRP are updated hardcase LiPo batteries packs out of the company’s Competition Car Line series. The range will include a two standard-size 2S 7500mAh and 6000mAh packs, a 5800mAh saddle and a 4700mAh shorty pack. All are made from 110C/55C rated cells and come in blue semi-transparent cases. Also new is a 6600mAh 100C/50C 1S pack for 1/12th applications. The batteries should hit the store shelves soon.

Kyosho MP9 brake disc options

Kyosho’s Yuichi Kanai recently gave an insight into the brake setup options the three available MP9-compatible brake disc types offer. While the standard-type full-face IF468 kit disc offer a mild, easy to control brake, the optional IFW122 SP discs make for improved stopping power. The latter also sport cut-outs for a more efficient cooling during long mains. The latest offering are the IF415 discs you can spot on the left side of the above image. The highly slotted design gives maximum ventilation and brake power.

Sanwa MT-4S 2.4GHz radio system

Sanwa introduce the MT-4S 2.4GHz radio system, the follow-up model of the popular MT-4 intermediate level transmitter. The latest incarnation offers a blue back-lit screen for improved visibility of all relevant parameters during usage and setup plus Sanwa’s SSL technology allows to adjust the Super Vortex speed controller and SGS-01C gyro via the transmitter. When used in FH4T modulation the MT-4S now also is nearly as fast as Sanwa’s current M12 top-of-the-foodchain radio while offering 18 model memory, telemetry functions and the usual array of mixes and servo setup options. The radio comes including a RX-472 receiver and will become available very shortly.

Absima Combat Series competition servos

German Team C distributor Absima now have their own range of high-performance servos available. The ACS1615SG (0.09s/15kg-cm), ACS1614SG (0.07s/14kg-cm) and ACS1622SG (0.14s/22-kg-cm) are standard size and standard voltage servos that feature coreless motors, steel gears and aluminium/plastic heatsink cases. Also coming are the ACS1623SG (0.1s/23kg-cm) and ACS1620SG (0.09s/20kg-cm), both are high-voltage compatible offerings, again with coreless motors, steel gears and heatsink cases. It is understood that a range of low-profile servos is around the corner too.

Vampire Racing saddle pack jumper wire

New from Vampire Racing comes this heavy-duty jumper wire for saddle battery packs. Made using thick 4.5 square millimetre high-flex silicone wire and silver-plated 4mm bullet-type connectors the wire also offers a 2mm charging port for a balancer harnesses making it ideal not only for connecting saddle packs in use but also while charging. The 100mm long wire is usable with many 1/10th and 1/8th applications and is available now.

RDRP Ultra Glowplug Wrench

The Ultra Glowplug Wrench is the latest nitro tool release from Revolution Design Racing Products. The wrench is designed for the use with standard and turbo glowplugs, the main body is made from high quality spring steel and incorporates an 8mm nut driver for the plug while an O-ring equipped recession at the top end of the tool takes a spare glow plug, making the wrench the ideal companion for demanding qualifiers and finals. Laser-etched logos let the tool stand out while a sturdy cross pin makes tightening and undoing even tightly fitted plugs a breeze.
