Axial AX10 Deadbolt RTR crawler

The Axial AX10 Deadbolt 1/10 Electric 4WD RTR packs all of the speed and versatile crawling capabilities as its original AX10 counterpart and adds a custom body with a moulded driver figure, three interchangeable heads and officially licensed Maxxis 2.2 Trepador tyres giving the vehicle a more aggressive and scale look. Power is provided by a 20T brushed motor and AE-2 ESC that is mounted vertically to help shield it from dust and debris. The AX-3 2.4GHz radio system and AS-3 metal gear servo gives you secure and precise control.

JConcepts black compound tyres

JConcepts introduce an additional compound to their line of successful 1/10th off-road racing tyres. Black compound, produced for the softest feel yet in the JConcepts line of compounds, the Mega Soft is especially useful in cold conditions or when grip is hard to come by on slick or dusty track conditions. The first tyres to receive the black compound treatment are the Bar Codes, Double Dees, Pressure Points and 3Ds.

Team Durango DEX408V2 kit

Team Durango introduce the new DEX408v2 1/8th electric buggy kit. Building on the winning heritage of the DEX408 the v2 version incorporates some subtle refinements in order to take 1/8th buggy racing to the next level. The kit is based on a new hard-anodised 3mm aluminium chassis with composite side pods and it features a redesigned rear end that is based around a new bulkhead assembly and a new geometry shock tower. The rear shock absorbers are now located behind the shock stay for an improved weight distribution and smoother and more efficient shock action. Part of the updated package are also new rear suspension arms for improved bump handling and also new ultra low rear roll-centre setting to complement the redesigned geometry. The new arms allow for two outer hinge pin positions helping to adjust rear traction characteristics to a variety of surfaces.

Wild Turbo Fan Windy fan range

WTF have announced that their new Windy range of cooling fans will soon be available. Making use of standard size impellers and mounting patterns the cases are slightly larger to accommodate the integrated trumpet intake mouth for increased thrust while keeping the current consumption as low as with standard size fans. The new range will become available by the end of this year.

JConcepts C4.2 pre-cut chassis protective sheet

New from JConcepts comes this chassis protective sheet for the Centro C4.2 buggy. It provides a slick surface to decrease the friction between the chassis and the dirt surface and additionally protects the chassis bottom from scratches and damages. Included in the set are two pre-cut and graphically pleasing sheets.

Ultimate Dual Compak clutch system

Modelix Racing introduce the latest version of the Ultimate Racing Compak clutch system called Dual. The system is an evolution of the well known Compak clutch and comes with a 34mm gold-anodised aluminium flywheel with tempered steel pins, one carbon and two aluminium clutch shoes as well as all three springs installed. The clutch is designed to provide a smooth power delivery, it extends the life span of the bearings and it also helps to lower the fuel consumption. The unique construction of the clutch allows to prepare an entire clutch body in advance that can be easily swapped and replaced when needed. The assembly is available with three different spring hardnesses from soft to hard allowing for a fine adjustment of the clutch engagement and using the standard or conical-shaped V2 flywheel.

JConceots 6.6" Hi-Tension wing

JConcepts introduce their new 6.6″ wide Hi-Tension wing specially designed for mid-motor buggies. Mid-motor buggies are all the rage in competitive off-road racing and when compared to rear motor vehicles, have a slightly different rear wing placement. JConcepts has stepped up to offer a replacement Hi-Tension wing for drivers utilising the mid-motor option and released a specific wing for the application. The more aft position of the mid-motor wing allows more tyre clearance than normal. The wing also features redesigned the side-dams to accommodate this position and it comes with a flow-through feature in the form of a small angular plane which can be trimmed for a slot which air can pass during racing conditions. In addition, the actual vertical side-dam now has a profiled shape near the bottom, tightening the section and also increasing the stability of the side-dams. Although specifically designed for mid-motor applications, the new wing works also great on 2WD rear motor vehicles as well as 4WD buggies.

More Team Durango DEX408v2 photos

Team Durango keep releasing more images of their upcoming DEX408v2 1/8th E-buggy. No detailed information are available yet but it is understood that the kit will include a host of new tuning options and platform refinements. According to Team Durango the v2 will become available World-wide next month.
