Pro-Line 2012 Bulldog for Hot Bodies D8 & D8T

Pro-Line 2012 Bulldog for Hot Bodies D8 & D8T

Pro-Line have released updated 2012 versions of their Bulldog body for the Hot Bodies D8 and D8T developd by Ty Tessmann. Ty personally spent hours refining the design for 2012 to create even more stability with enhanced steering to gain an advantage on the track. The windshield is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve maximum engine head cooling and stable air flow over the body. The fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally on the truggy shell the hood has been raised slightly to allow more clearance for a longer shock setup and the headlights and grill have been redesigned.

Bullitt B-216 .21 buggy engine

Bullitt B-216 .21 buggy engine

After the introduction of the B-218 in 2011, Bullitt engines are happy to introduce the new B-216 to the range for 2012. The B-216 offers level of performance that we believe can’t be matched at anything close to this price point in the market. Tested extensively by the Bullitt team drivers, performance, economy and reliability of the B-216 have proven to be the equal, or better than engines costing far more. Of course quality is of the highest priority and by using the same world leading Japanese engine manufacturer, the B-216 gives nothing away to its big brother the B-218.

JQ aluminium rear hubs & soft bladders

JQ aluminium rear hubs & soft bladders

JQ Products have released these new CNC machined aluminium rear hubs which come in gold or black and are stronger and more tunable than the stock plastic ones. The upper link holes are one row higher than on the plastic hub, so the 2nd highest row is the same as the plastic hub top row. The new top row makes THECar smoother in corners, and it seems to keep a more consistent arc around corners. Also, the hub requires 4 plastic spacers to fit in the arm, with 2 in front, and 2 behind being the stock position. This means it can be moved 2mm further forwards for even more rear traction, or backwards for high traction tracks, compared with the plastic hub. JQ have also released new soft bladders for the shocks which give THECar more traction and makes the suspension feel smoother. The shocks are also easier to build with this bladder.

Bittydesign Force shell for THE Car

Bittydesign Force shell for THE Car

As seen during our race coverage at last Octobers Arena race in Italy, Bittydesign have released their Force shell for the JQ Products THE Car. Featuring a cab forward design, it has been developed to obtain better downforce and improve steering response in low speed turns. They also worked to obtain higher downforce at the rear of the body by adding winglets which also helps create more stability in high speed turns. The cab has been developed to use the original JQ air filter, regardless of whether the engine is placed in the front or rear position. Also available to complete the look, rear mud guards which are supplied clear so they can be painted to match your shell.
