Reds buggy engine line update

Reds report that they introduce some updates to their R series buggy engines in order to increase reliability and performance, and to lower the fuel consumption. The R5T will come with the long needle carburettor that is already being used for the R5 engine. The part improves fuel economy and guarantees a linear power output. The updated R5 will come with a completely redesigned crankshaft, in order to guarantee higher performance and efficiency. Compared to the previous crankshaft, the general surface finishing has been improved in order to provide a better fluid dynamic. Moreover the red silicone filling reduces weight and the rotating mass.

Xray XB808 progressive spring set

Xray have a new progressive spring set for the XB808 off-road buggy available. The ultimate-match front and rear springs sport progressive characteristics for a soft initial feel and increasing hardness while the spring compresses. This makes for a sensitive damper behaviour but enough stiffness to retain a precise overall feeling. The springs are recommended for medium-high traction tracks, are available as a pair, are measured, controlled, inspected and matched to provide identical damping characteristics. The front progressive C=0.7-0.8 mimics a hardness 0.7 spring at the beginning of the compression and a hardness 0.8 spring at the end. The rear progressive C=0.5-0.6 behaves like a hardness 0.5 to hardness 0.6 spring.
