JConcepts tires impress on debut

The debut for the all new JConcepts off road tires took place at last months Nitro Challenge and on its debut race they took the win in the hands of top off road racer Ryan Maifield. In the hotly contested 45 minute A-main event, Maifield made it a debut to remember by winning the Pro Gas Truck class A-main with his Associated GT2 running on JConcepts “Double Dees” tires in Sticky Green Compound. In 1/8th scale buggy, Maifield also blitzed the track in Round 2 of qualifying with his Associated RC8 by laying down a TQ run using the 1/8th scale version of the “Double Dees”.

Fioroni parts for the Sidorf

A while back we wrote about top US driver Jason Ashton making the surprise move to Spanish manufacturer Sidorf to race their S-1 buggy. Well Jason is doing pretty well with the car Stateside and recently he showed his car off sporting some new Fioroni made aluminium optionals that include shock towers, uprights, shock bodies and more. The parts look good, especially the anodised / machined look, but no word was given on the release date of these parts, but we have learned that the Sidorf that will be released in the US will be called the M-5, but its unclear whether this is a new car or just a new name.

Pro Line add M3 tires to pre mounts range

Pro Line M3 pre glued

Further extending their range of pre glued tires for off road racing, Pro-Line have added both the M3 Bow Ties and M3 Crime Fighter tires to their already large range of pre mounts. Both tire types come on either white or yellow Pro-Line Velocity dish wheels, use firm inserts and are a great time saving product, plus lets face it no one likes gluing tires so that alone is worth the investment.

Pro-Line Quik Lidz

Back at the start of February we reported on these new pre painted bodyshells from Pro-Line when they were briefly shown in Germany, at the NÃ¼rnberg Toy fair, well now these bodies have been released along with the full information about them. Suitable for a number of cars including the Kyosho Inferno, Xray XB8 / Mugen MBX5 as well as a number of Monster trucks, they come pre screened (not pre cut) with a tribal design leaving you to just back the body with your favourite colour and its ready to race – no masking, no mess and no rubbish one colour paint jobs.

Pro-Line Cavalieri Edition body shells

Pro Line have released these 2 new Cavalieri Edition Crowd Pleazer body shells for the Team Associated GT2 (above) and T4 cars. While the specifics of what is so good about these new bodies over previous versions isn’t clear, we think it may be just some small cosmetic changes, although i find it difficult to see much difference between this version and the non Cavalieri version.

Ryan Cavalieri combines his years of gas off-road experience with the finesse of Pro-Lineâ€™s product development team to produce a body that goes beyond the traditional Crowd Pleazer design. â€œDesign makes a huge difference in the handling of the 1:10 off-road truck believe it or not. The design was developed to enhance the handling characteristics of the GT2,â€ says Ryan.

Team Losi 8ight / 8T Starter Box

Team Losi have announced the release of their new starter box for their 8ight and 8T cars that has been designed to only work with these two platforms. Unlike a conventional starter, the 8ight Starter Box has no positioning pegs, which means no measuring or major assembly required like on most other starter box on the market.

In less than 10 seconds you can transform the starter box to work on either the 8IGHT Competition Buggy or the 8IGHT-T Truggy Race roller. Simply push a button on the front chassis brace location and it will telescope out and then rotate the rear swivel pegs to make the chassis platform long and it will accommodate the 8IGHT-T Truggy Race Roller chassis. Now perform the opposite steps and the starter box will fit the 8IGHT Competition Buggy.

Novarossi Off-Road front bearing

French engine specialists JP Racing are showing this new patented 19x7x6mm front bearing for Novarossi based off road engines on their site. The new bearing features 2 dirt protector seals to stop all dust and grit getting into the engine whilst the seal caused by this new structure also aids the tuning consistency of the engine while still keeping the optimal freedom of rotation for the crankshaft.

Another decal set from Upgrade RC, this time for the Jammin CRT-5 1/12th scale 4wd buggy that we have covered in the past. The decal is the usual deal from Upgrade RC, as in wicked looking and top quality, and will be available in blue/yellow and blue/red.
