Hot Bodies have announced on their buggy blog site that they are working on a new coated shock body for the Cyclone D4. This coating aids the movement of the piston in the body by reducing the friction for the piston, while the coating also provides a scratch resistant surface. These new parts are now currently in testing and initial running has proved positive, more information should be released later.

Vita Tuning have released information about their new big block clutch, which is suitable for use in truggies. This clutch was successfully tested last weekend at the first round of the German truggy Nationals, and Dario Vita, racing a Mugen, won the event with this clutch which was also being used by the Reckward brothers and other top racers at that event. The release date is yet to be set.

UK based carbon fibre specialists Atomic Carbon have announced the release of these new Kyosho Ultima RB5 shock towers. Made from 4mm carbon fibre these front and rear shock towers have been developed in conjunction with Team oOple team driver Stu Wood.
Stu using the atomic carbon shock towers managed to qualify 7th out of 130 drivers, at the recent BRCA national held at Bury Metro and this is the 1st time in 15 years that a Kyosho 2wd car has made a BRCA national A final.

Italian tire manufacturer ATS have announced the release of a number of new products for both off road and general use. First up are these very unique foam truggy tires, created in 56mm width and in 130mm tire diameter, they will be available in both hard and medium compounds and should allow your truggy to tear up the tarmac. Next up is the announcement that ATS will enter the buggy tire market and they are currently testing rims and compounds and will launch with 3 compounds called Sticky, Adherence and 1600, expect to see them available soon. ATS have also released a range of clutch bell housings for off road and rally game that come in both closed and open finish and in a number of different teeth amounts. Finally comes the release of cleaning putty, similar to that sold by Serpent, that comes in a handy little tub and helps remove oil and other crap from your car.

We brought you information about shock bodies from Japanese firm, Riemon Speed Works before, and today they have announced more metal optionals, including more shock bodies. In the picture above you can see on the left, new metal shock bodies for the Kyosho Lazer ZX-5, the left shock body being a prototype made from brass and the aluminum version on the right the final sale version. In the middle of the image are the prototype and final shock bodies for the Tamiya M-chassis while the final product on the right are hex adaptors for 1/10th touring cars, which have been made from brass to apparentley help transfer the power from the tires to the ground in low grip conditions. JConcepts have released their latest Illuzion body, this time for the Losi 8ight T truggy which features a stadium truck style that combines hard edge racing lines with a front hood scoop. The roof of the body has been dramatically wedged or for that aggressive look, while the rear of the body has been designed for extra bed durability. The body has been made from heavy-duty thickness polycarbonate and comes complete with window masks and protective film.

We have already shown you the outside of the new .21 CRF buggy engine from Team Orion, as driven at the Kyosho Masters by engine developer Adrien Bertin, and while it may seem overkill to keep going on about this engine, we feel its important to show you more. We now have photos of the internals of this new engine and at first glance they seem to look very similar to those used in the .12 engines from CRF. How good is this engine, well Bertin qualified his CRF powered Kyosho in 9th place in Elite buggy at the Masters, but without knowing the full details, its hard to judge the motor based on this performance. Look below for yourself at the new crankshaft and the piston liner set.

Just like earlier this week, Hot Bodies have today released more information on some new parts for the Cyclone D4 from Hot Bodies that we showed you before back in April. First up are these purple anodised aluminium rear hub carriers rear, available in 0.5 degrees and 1 degree, that allow you to alter the suspension characteristics of the car extending the adjustability of the stock hub carriers. Next up are two new black anodised rear suspension blocks that come in 2.0 and 2.5 degrees settings allowing you to alter the inboard toe at the rear of the buggy while finally for the D4 buggy are some new fluorescent yellow disc wheels. Also new from HB for the Cyclone touring car is a brushless motor mount that has been designed to allow the use of bigger spur gears by raising the level of the center layshaft by 2mm.
