Traxxas heavy duty CVDs for the Hoss 4×4

For the Hoss 4×4, Traxxas have produced these new heavy-duty steel constant velocity driveshafts. Designed specifically for monster truck applications, they are built to withstand the brutal torque and massive grip produced by the Hoss’ 540XL motor and huge Sledgehammer tires. Compared to ordinary metal shafts, Traxxas’ unique splined telescoping design delivers full-range articulation so there is never a need to limit suspension travel. Metal pin-retention rings keep the drive pins securely in place for extra security on high RPM speed runs. Also suitable for Slash 4×4, Rustler 4×4, and Stampede 4×4 models.

JConcepts 1979 Ford F-250 12.3″ wheelbase

JConcepts have brought out a version of the 1979 Ford F-250 for the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport, Element RC Enduro and Axial 12.3″ wheelbase vehicles. The iconic body style shaped and revised by Ford, specifically for the 1979 model year, features rectangular headlights and a one-piece centre grille while the heavily chiseled, square body look with enlarged, flat-top wheel wells set this body off as a favourite. The recessed body line extends down the entire side of the standard cab body and the included decal sheet details this section to appear like the chrome trim from yesteryear. The wrap-around front windshield, recessed side windows are outlined to perfection while the body lines are all in place to show off that vintage look. Perhaps the most important part of the design, the front headlights, grille, taillights, and tailgate are replicated with a decal sheet giving that all important, high-impact look. The 12.3” wheelbase gives drivers options for mounting to standard or extended length chassis while the flat bed area gives plenty of space for body mount locations or customised with bed cover look.

JConcepts RC10B2 carbon fibre front shock tower

The RC10B2, one of the most popular RC vehicles in the mid 1990’s has a new carbon fibre shock tower courtesy of JConcepts. The stock vehicle comes standard with a twin up-right unit which carries all the original geometry, however, it lacks the pizzazz, strength, and appearance that the JConcepts tower can provide. The new front shock tower features a connected tower design with X centre giving that all important strength. It also includes detailed and reinforced areas in the large pocketed area, adding strength in key areas as well as the improvement in material creates a more rigid feel, increasing the response in the front-end.

Xray XB4 2021 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

At this stage we have all seen the in depth video presentation from Xray on the design and production of their new for 2021 XB4 4wd buggy. Now that we know what went into making the car, we finally get to see the final results of all that work. The XB4 is an evolution of their World Championship winning buggy platform and for the first time the car will be available in either carpet or dirt editions. The main focus seems to have been around the front and rear horizontal split design bulkheads, which allow for the adjustment of the differential height in the car. The ability to make this adjustment, necessary for the switch between dirt and carpet, has meant changes needed to be able to be made to the central drivetrain angle and height. Longer front and rear central drive shafts and shortened pinion gears offer up improved drivetrain efficiency and both shafts are connected by an all-new multi-adjustable slipper clutch with independently adjustable front/rear slippage. new shock bodies, shock towers, a tweak free quick battery holder and body shells complete the main areas of focus.
