RSRC MP10T/MP10Te Carbon Fibre parts

RSRC, the brand of multiple European 1:8 Buggy Champion and factory Kyosho driver Reno Savoya, has extended their carbon fibre parts range with suspension arm insets for the Kyosho MP10T/MP10Te 1:8 Truggy.  They have designed a ‘sandwich panel’ system that leaves the internal reinforcements of the suspension untouched, with a 1mm plate on top and a 1mm plate underneath.  This will greatly improve the wishbone strength during big hits with very few front lower arm breaks due to the stiffeners.  It also improve handling making the truggy more precision.  The ‘sandwich panel’ fits the MP10T nitro and electric truggies.

Willspeed LD3 5 Gear Transmission

Willspeed has announced the release of their first drop fit 5 gear gearbox casing/conversion on the Schumacher LD3 2WD Buggy platform.  This is an inclusive conversion that includes two aluminium machined case halves, hardware and enclosed gear cover to fit that 5 gear goodness to your Schumacher LD3.  The gearbox relocates the motor +21mm further forward compared to the standard location, a popular setup option in modern off road buggy racing for improving corner speed in medium to high traction scenarios.  They have selected the idler gear size to maximise efficiency and reliability, maintaining a higher tooth count provides a fuller tooth engagement, notably even more so on the 32dp gear pitch that Schumacher uses.  Maintaining the same gear size as the standard LD3 also allows choice between using Schumacher’s gears or our own WS PEEK gears.  The design retains the use of the original gearbox top to maintain the quick diff access.  Please note, due to the relocation of the motor, this also relocates the spur gear, meaning the bodyshell must be cut around our included enclosed gear cover.  Gearbox halves manufactured in 6082 Aluminium. Gear cover manufactured from Nylon.

Yokomo SO3.0 2WD Buggy

Yokomo has announced the upcoming release of their latest 1:10 2WD Buggy offering the SO3.0.  Coming 15-months after the launch of its predecessor the SO2.0, the Japanese manufacturer claim their newest competition buggy offers even better performance on high-grip surfaces and is capable of cornering at higher speeds.  Key changes to the new car are a longer main chassis which provides a sense of stability, while the front weight loading and other features improve ground contact and bring out the vectors that propel the machine forward in the corners.  The motor mount has a lower centre of gravity, and the front and rear shock towers have been modified with aerodynamics in mind to establish a sharper ride.  The suspension arms, front/rear hub carriers, gearbox, bulkheads, and other parts are all graphite molded parts for a higher response when driving.

Team Associated RC10 Team Car Gold Edition Kit

Continuing its series of re-releases of RC10 kits, Team Associated has announced the Team Car Gold Edition Kit of its iconic 1:10 2WD Buggy.  Originally released back in 1990, the RC10 Team Car was an upgraded version of the base model RC10 Championship Edition (6011), which was also released that same year.  The RC10 Team Car was the latest state-of-the-art, 2WD off-road racing buggy in the world and was the first RC10 to feature the Stealth ATC Transmission, hard anodised shocks with PTFE coating, and updated suspension geometry.  At the 1990 Off-Road ROAR Nationals, Team Associated finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd using these new parts. Cliff Lett took first place at the Nationals, which didn’t surprise anyone, but the big surprise was Brent Wallace and J.D. Beckwith, both who finished 2nd and 3rd at the very first race using the new Stealth transmission.  There were many similar reports of equal success from racers all around the world after using the Stealth transmission in their older RC10’s.  Later, some of these parts would eventually be included in the RC10 Team Car kit.
