Team Associated RC8B3.2e Team Kit 1/8th E-buggy

Team Associated have introduced the new RC8B3.2 Team Kit 1/8th scale electric buggy. Already a proven platform, the RC8B3.2e looks to add to the portfolio of victories. No stone has gone unturned when considering the makeup of the RC8B3.2e. The geometry of the suspension has been critically analyzed to determine improved areas of performance, resulting in a new suspension arm design with inserts to adjust flex characteristics and keep dirt out. The combination of a longer rear suspension arm, narrower suspension arm mounts and an overall wider rear track width has proven to increase driver comfort, consistency and speed. Updated shock caps allow the RCB3.2e to be run in two different configurations: As emulsion type with the bleeder screw and seal, or bladder type with the included new stiff bladders, or optional traditional bladders. The side guards have also been improved by changing the attachment method to FHCS that thread into the chassis from the top of the buggy. This increases the durability of the side guard while improving alignment to the chassis. Like the RC8B3.2 the electric-powered kit is set for a release in May.

Axial SCX10 III Jeep JL Wrangler trail truck kit

Axial Racing have introduced their new SCX10 III Jeep Wrangler trail truck kit. While continuing to incorporate key components that have made SCX10 vehicles successful, the SCX10 III increases chassis realism with details that include a replica V8 engine to house the front-mounted 540 motor. It is mated to a realistic transmission housing and transfer case, like a full-scale vehicle. The kit’s versatile transmission can be built in several ways. If owners using a 3-channel radio, they can set it up with a third-channel DIG function that lets them lock the rear axle from the transmitter for front wheel drive and a tighter turning radius. Another 3-channel option is to set up the vehicle with a two-speed transmission to select between high and low speeds. To have access to the two-speed transmission and DIG function simultaneously, just add another servo and use a radio with at least four channels. The SCX10 III Jeep JL Wrangler kit uses portal axles to improve performance by increasing the ground clearance and reducing torque twist. Its standard battery tray accepts full-size standard LiPo or NiMH packs. There is also space on the side rails for drivers who prefer “shorty” packs. Inner fenders and floor sides hide internal components that would usually be visible from the side of the chassis. To top off the chassis, the kit comes with a clear Jeep Wrangler Unlimited four-door body that’s ready for finishing in whatever colour or design. Scale details include a roll cage, front hood vents and cowl, windshield wipers, mirrors, door handles and more, plus a detailed interior. New taller and wider, officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler tyres on 3-piece licensed KMC Machete beadlock wheels add more scale realism and more grip on dirt, rocks, and all other off-road trails.

Xray XB4 +2mm hard suspension arms

Xray have announced the release of their new +2mm front and rear suspension arms for the XB4 1/10th scale 4WD buggy. Moulded from a hard composite material the arms sport a redesigned geometry that will improve handling and increase traction especially over bumpier parts of the track. In addition the design of the front arm, that is usable both on the left and right hand side of the buggy, allows for a greater range of adjustments as the opening for the C-hub is larger for greater wheelbase adjustment possibilities compared to the previous versions. As for the rear arms, that are available separately for the left and right hand side, they allow for variable positioning of the rear shocks. Depending on track conditions, the rear shocks can be installed either in front of or behind the rear shock tower, and the rear shock tower can be placed either in front of or behind the bulkhead. All suspension arms come moulded from a high-quality hard composite material for a balanced performance and exceptional durability.
