ReVtech X-Factor 13.5T & 17.5T spec motors

Trinity’s ReVtech X-Factor spec motors are now also available in 13.5T and 17.5T variants. The lightweight motors weigh in at about 144g and they feature composite sensor boards, 0 to 60 degrees timing adjustment, a lightweight coming ring and locking endplate as well as a highly machined 2-piece CNC-machined alloy can and 2mm ultra low resistance solder tabs. The 13.5T variant is BRCA, EFRA and ROAR approved while the 17.5T motor is ROAR approved only. Exotek TLR22 5.0 alloy adjustable rear hub set

Coming from Exotek and made for the TLR22 5.0 is an aluminium adjustable alloy rear hub set. The set includes precision machined delrin hub height inserts that allows to set the hinge pin at stock level or raise the hub in 1mm increments for +1, +2, and +3 settings. Tested with team driver feedback, this is a key tuning aid for matching the adjustable differential height as it keeps the axle and bones level when raising or lowering the diff height inserts, making it easier to lower the ride height for high grip conditions. The set is a direct bolt on to the 22 5.0, and 4.0 etc with 67mm bones, with no other modifications or additional parts needed. The default setting matches the 22 5.0 stock geometry, however the two rearmost ball stud holes have been removed as these are rarely used. The hubs also allow for the full wheelbase adjustments similar to the stock hubs. The all-7075 alloy hub construction comes polished and with a black and silver chamfer finish with four machined delrin inserts included and it only weighs one gram more than the hub it replaces.

Leadfinger Racing RB7 A2 Tactic body shell

The A2 Tactic body for the popular Kyosho Ultima RB7 is the next addition of 2WD bodies from Leadfinger Racing for 2019. Like the A2 Tactic bodies before it, the RB7 body has an added roof vent that allows for better cooling for today’s sensitive electronics. Running cooler has its advantages and feeding cool air directly over the power house is a welcomed upgrade. Behind that, LFR has designed a top fin that joins into a rear swoop for added stability and increased rear down force. The combination of the two help give the Kyosho Ultima RB7 a balanced and precise feel during mid corner rotation and on power exit. The body comes in clear polycarbonate ready for paint and including two pre-cut Tactic wings, stickers and window masks.

RedWorks XT2 & XB4 carbon fibre optionals

RedWorks from France have introduced new carbon fibre optionals for the Xray XT2 and XB4 kits. First up are front and rear shock towers for the XT2 truck. The parts are of an updated design that is both stronger and also cooler looking thanks to several machined sections and a heavy chamfer that ensures greater durability. The front and rear tower are available separately. Also new is a 2mm gearbox and suspension spacer for the XT2 and XB2 that raised both the gearbox and suspension which comes in handy especially when running with low ride heights and in high-grip conditions. Last but not least is a carbon fibre top plate for the XB4 4WD buggy that connects the front gearbox and the steering posts. Like the shock towers the top plate features heavy machining for looks and durability.

Kyosho Inferno MP10 truggy – Prototype images

Kyosho’s own Yuichi Kanai has released first teaser images of what appears to be an Inferno MP10 nitro truggy. Currently in prototype stages using a longer main chassis plate and rapid prototype arms, the vehicle will carry over most of the new designs incorporated in the MP10 buggy with the chassis weight distribution being set for now while the blurred-out arms and shock towers indicate that Yuichi is carrying out suspension geometry tests at the moment.

T-Works MP10 alloy suspension mounts & steering plate

T-Works have introduced new aluminium suspension mounts and a steering plate for the Kyosho Inferno MP10 buggy. Starting with the suspension hangers, the parts are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 alloy and they come black anodised and with machined silver edge details for looks. Available are all four suspension mounts for the front and the rear of the buggy. Also new is an aluminium steering plate that offers four different inner steering Ackermann positions to fine-tune the buggy’s steering characteristics. Like the suspension mounts the steering plate is machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 alloy.

Xray XT8 1/8th nitro truggy kit

Xray have introduced their new XT8 1/8th nitro truggy kit. The kit builds on the proven XT8 platform but features refinements in the suspension and chassis area. First up is the new front suspension geometry with updated C-hubs and steering blocks. The latter are of an new design with interchangeable Ackermann plates and moulded-in threaded bushings for the kingpin screws. New to the “2019” model are also updated C-hubs to accommodate the updated steering blocks as well as CV-design driveshafts front and rear to replace the previous universal-type shafts. The chassis was updated to work with the included “soft” radio tray which is the best solution for low to medium bite track while an optional hard radio tray is available when running on high bite surfaces or in high ambient temperatures. For the rear of the truck, Xray have included a new lightweight 1-piece wing mount that is about 40 percent lighter for a lower centre of gravity and optimised overall weight balance. A new wing mount brace helps to prevent gearbox breakage as it connects the wing mount and chassis braces that help to transfer impact energy towards the chassis. Also part of the kit is an updated 7075 alloy shock rear shock tower to accommodate the new rear wing mount, updated rear uprights with larger outer bearings make for improved reliability and upgraded shock absorbers with soft compound bottom-ribbed volume compensator membranes help with suspension efficiency. The kit is rounded out by new aluminium clutch shoes as well as 2.6mm front and 2.8mm rear swaybars.
