Pro-Line Chevy K-10 & Metric rock crawler bodies

Pro-Line have introduced two new body shells for 1/10th scale trail trucks and rock crawlers. First up is the 1978 Chevy K-10 Cab and Bed body that allows to make a crawler look even more scale with the short box step side Chevy cab and bed which is one of the hottest and rarest nostalgic full-size trucks. Pro-Line Slide Lock MC 1/8th buggy tyre

Coming from Pro-Line is the Slide Lock 1/8th buggy tyre in MC clay compound. The Slide Lock is a unique tyre design from Pro-Line that is made specifically for smooth, low grip tracks. It features a pattern of small, tightly packed hexagon and triangle shaped pins so drivers can lay down as much rubber as possible. The tread on the tyre is laid out wider across the carcass for a flatter profile overall compared to other Pro-Line 1/8 race tyres. Each hexagon pin has a deep sipe down the middle of the tread for added flex and grip on even the slickest of surfaces. The built-in tread flex means drivers can run harder compounds for longer wear and still have good traction when they need it. The large and stiff side pins reach far down the sidewall to reduce edginess as much as possible. The tyre comes including blue closed cell inserts and in the proven MC clay compound.

Performa Racing P1 nitro engines

Performa Racing have introduced their new P1 3.5 nitro engines developed by IFMAR World Champion, Adrien Bertin. First up is the Nitro 3 engine, a 3 port power plant that combines excellent fuel efficiency and run time with the traditional aggressive bottom end and strong mid through top end of a 3 port design. Made with weekly racing in mind the engine is ideal for both buggies and trucks. The second new engine is the P1 Radical 3 that provides a smooth, linear power band with strong bottom through top end. Excellent run time makes this engine ideal for buggy racers that like a smooth engine with power on tap at all times. Last but not least comes the Radical P1 7 port engine that provides tremendous torque with exceptional top end. A linear power band makes it very drivable despite the insane power of the 7 port design – ideal for buggy or truggy racing on large tracks. The engines will become available by mid-March with Performa Racing also offering specially tuned, prepared, and run-in engines carried out by Adrien himself.

Xray XB8 series medium rubber shock membrane cell

Xray have introduced their new medium hardness rubber shock membrane cell set for XB8 based buggies, trucks and GT cars. The special design of the volume compensator provides a smaller air gap compared to conventional rubber diaphragms, resulting in more consistent damper action throughout the whole run. The red medium hardness cells will also offer more rebound compared to the previously released soft set, making for improved traction on smoother surfaces. The membranes come in sets of four and they are usable for the nitro and electric variants of the XB8, XT8 and GTX.

Axial 1/18 Yeti Jr Can-Am Maverick X3 T 4WD

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new 1/18th scale Yeti Jr Can-Am Maverick X3 T 4WD brushed RTR off-road vehicle. The Yeti Jr RTR takes everything modellers admire about the 1/10th scale Yeti chassis and shrinks it down to 1/18 scale – then tops it off with a licensed Can-Am Maverick X3 body for a fun 4WD that anyone can handle. Out of the box, this tiny terror is ready for scale adventures. Before the Yeti, the only place to find an independent suspension with floating solid rear axle was in full-size off-road vehicles. Axial carried its advantages over into RC rock racers and crawlers. The suspension design give the Yeti Jr responsive handling, increased clearance, and improved stability at high speeds. Its included 380-size motor adds the perfect amount of speed and torque, controlled by the Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 radial tires, the Spektrum brushed speed controller and the Spektrum STX2 transmitter. The package is rounded out by a 7.2V 1300mAh NiMH battery pack, a USB charger and AA batteries for the transmitter, making the vehicle a true ready-to-run kit.
