JConcepts MBX8 P2 Body

JConcepts latest 1:8 Buggy body shell, the P2, is now available for the Mugen Seiki MBX8 platform. The P2 design debuted in 1:8 at the last year’s Mugen Challenge and was then used at IFMAR 1:8 Offroad World Championship in Spain, having originally been created for the 1:10 racing. Building up a prototype using styling cues from the World Championship winning body used by Spencer Rivkin in 2019, and reaching back to 2010, JConcepts experimented with a tall stabilising fin on the rear of the body. They also incorporated a small mini fin placed behind the rear of the cab that does not interfere with the engine head. In the rear, the ramping feature that is so popular on the P2, creeps up behind the cab and engine head to create extra force and stability. The P2 is offered in both standard and lightweight options.

Reds Racing 721 Superveloce PRO-X Factory Team

As a follow-up to the release of the Limited Edition Gold version last September, Italian engine tuner Reds Racing has announced the addition of the 721 Superveloce PRO-X Factory Team to its competition engine line-up for 2025. This latest evolution builds upon the success of their Limited Edition Gold version and stands as a testament to their team’s success throughout 2024. Just like its limited edition precursor, the engine features an Ultra Tuned Crankshaft and sleeve by Mario Rossi. This special tuning to the crankshaft increases engine power noticeably while maintaining excellent fuel mileage. The crankshaft is hand-rebalanced to minimise vibration at high speeds. Reds Racing’s RTX Rotating Backplate reduces friction between the connecting rod and backplate, improving stability at idle, boosting engine power, and optimising fuel efficiency for extended runtime. A new Cooling Head Design features a lower centre of gravity for enhanced car handling, superior aerodynamics for reduced drag, and improved cooling efficiency. High-Protection Bearings include a double-seal front bearing for durability and stability, along with a 9-ball rear ceramic bearing for reliability under extreme conditions.

Willspeed XB2 Stainless Steel 0° Front Bulkhead

Continuing its release of new option parts for the Xray XB2 2WD Buggy, Willspeed has added this 316 Stainless Steel 0° Front Bulkhead with Adjustable Roll Center (ARC). Machined from 316 Stainless Steel for exceptional strength and additional weight over stock plastic or aluminium options it weighs in at 32.0 grams. Featuring Adjustable Roll Center (ARC) the design utilising supplied carbon fibre shims (1x 1mm 1x 0.5mm). Using 1mm shim replicates standard geometry while these can be removed to fully raise roll centre or use 0.5mm shim for intermediate adjustment. The bulkhead comes with a polished finish with laser etched WS logo, weight and angle marker.

Kyosho Ultima RB7.5 1:10 2WD Buggy

Kyosho has used the the Nürnberg Toy Fair in Germany to unveil its return to the offroad racing market with the Ultima RB7.5 1:10 2WD Buggy. Posting a video on the Kyosho Europe Facebook page, Karl Madsen goes through the features of the soon to be released buggy which at the front end includes as standard aluminium front axles, an aluminium front bulk head, a carbon fibre front shock tower, a shock tower protector and front wing. In terms of design a new steering set-up allows for greater ackermann changes and tuning. In the centre of the buggy there are two changes with a move to the now conventional battery tray layout. The rear brace has been redesigned and refined to allow more movement by removing some of the material. At the rear there is a carbon fibre shock tower with half hole adjustments but the biggest change is the move to 13mm big bore shocks. The RB7.5 also gets a new rear hub carrier for great adjustment options. The kit supplied body features revised rear aero design with the final kit expected to being released to market in April. TRC 1:8 Offroad Valve Pistons

Belgian custom made RC parts brand Throttlefinger Racing Concepts (TRC) has released these new 1:8 Offroad Valve Pistons which have been in the works for over a year. On a mission to redefine 1:8 scale shock pistons, breaking free from the basic, unchanged design of current shock pistons and decades of motocross suspension knowledge and expertise, TRC set out to create pistons that allow for independent adjustment of compression and rebound—just like the systems used in all other forms of offroad racing. Through extensive research and development, they designed these pistons from the ground up, incorporating a spring steel shim and matching adapter made to exceptional tolerances. This innovation results in a set of pistons that address today’s track conditions with precision and consistency.

Willspeed XB2 Front Aluminium Ball Stud Mount

British 1:10 Offroad conversion kit and after market parts specialists Willspeed has released the Front Aluminium Ball Stud Mount for the Xray XB2 2WD Buggy. Manufactured from T6082 Aluminium it features an added half hole link position with the link height also -1mm lower than factory option for the option of a higher roll centre setup. To replicate standard geometry you can add a 1mm washer to ballstud. Highly durable yet lightweight at 10.2 grams, it is completed in a black anodised finish with a 2nd operation WS logo.

Tekno RC NT48 2.2 Nitro Truggy

Following on from the release of its ET48 2.2 electric truggy back in November, US offroad kit manufacturer Tekno RC has announced the release of its nitro sibling the NT48 2.2. The latest evolution of their successful 1:8 competition nitro truggy, the NT48 2.2 has proven its capabilities by securing back-to-back ROAR National Championships in the hands of Ryan Maifield. This fourth iteration of the NT48 platform, first launched in 2014, the truggy now features full 2.2 chassis specifications, including updated hubs, front spindles, carriers, and Ackermann plates, which provide near-full compatibility with Tekno RC’s EB48 2.2 and NB48 2.2 buggies, as well as their electric truggy. The NT48 2.2 comes equipped with numerous high-quality components with previously optional lightened 7075 CNC machined shock towers are now standard, reducing weight while maintaining strength.

GForce Genova 2WD Buggy Special Box by Masami

Japan’s GForce has announced an overseas limited edition of their Genova 1:10 2WD Buggy call the ‘Special Box’ which has been supervised by RC legend Masami Hirosaka. GForce a hugely successful collaboration with Masami when it created the 4WD MX-4 Forever, and is now releasing 100 ‘Special Box’ kits of the Genova for the oversea market. Designed by Masami, the Genova buggy features a rear motor placement and a 292mm long wheelbase and the body design captures a nostalgic form reminiscent of the past and fulfilling the dreams of RC enthusiasts. As part of the ‘Special Box’ you get a painted body in Masami colours painted by famous Japanese body painter Takashima Design. Also included is a low-profile digital servo jointly developed by Masami Hirosaka and KO PROPO. Furthermore the buggy comes with an Aluminium Big bore damper set and titanium turnbuckles, Masami hand cut foam inserts and Team Azarashi’s original stickers.
