Samix have introduced their new aluminium front bumper mount for the Traxxas TRX-4 truck. Machined from high-quality alloy the parts adds strength for improved chassis rigidity while adding visual impact at the same time. The laser-engraved bumper mount comes in silver, black or hard-anodised finish and with machined silver edge details.
Tamiya have introduced their new Toyota Hilux CC-01 truck kit. The truck depicts the 8th generation of the Hilux vehicle, released back in 2015, specifically a special full-size version of the Extra Cab which Toyota’s British division had made in the colours of Tamiya’s legendary Bruiser as a tribute to their model. It also appeared in some high-profile PR activities in Great Britain. The CC-01 chassis’ ground-hugging, long-stroke suspension system consists of front double wishbone and rear 4-link rigid setups and is equipped with four oil dampers. The highly reliable and efficient full-time 4WD system features a front-mounted motor, which transmits power to the front wheels via the gearbox and to the rear wheels via the propeller shaft with universal joints. Front and rear differentials enable smooth cornering. For even greater off-road performance on rough terrain, the rear differential may be locked during assembly. Realistic block-pattern tires are mounted on metal-plated wheels and the kit also includes the Tamiya TBLE-02S electronic speed control that is capable of running sensor brushless motors and brushed motors alike.

Build using high-performance 50C cells the high-voltage LiPo battery pack offers a monstrous 10000mAh of capacity at a somewhat low weight of only 330g, comparable to a 8400mAh pack, making it ideal for demanding and power-hungry classes such as 1/8th electric on-road. The Graphene technology ensures very low internal resistance, high discharge rates, enhanced punch and maximum top speed.

The flat design allows the wire to be neatly installed in nearly every car, buggy or truck, with the high-quality connectors ensuring a reliable motor/ESC connection. Leadfinger Racing have introduced their Strife body shell for the Tekno RC ET410 1/10th 4WD truck. The design idea comes from it’s much larger brother, the ET48 Strife body. To see if the idea would work, Leadfinger started by shortening the cab and rear truck bed, then narrowing the entire original mould to better suited the smaller ET410. The final step was to reverse or flip the front mounting posts. This gave LFR the room needed to install the front clips and clear the front cowling, making it a drop fit. The body comes clear and including window masks and sticker sheet.

Coming from SMJ are the new Masayuki Miura optimised 21XB2 Power and Eco Spec engines. The long-stroke engines offer a wide power range and high torque values with the Power Spec variant being ideal for high speed off-road tracks and 1/8th GT cars while the Eco Spec power plant is best suited for low-grip or bumpy tracks. Also the Power variant makes use of a 7mm venturi carburettor while the Eco relies on a 6mm variant. Both come with a DLC-coated and tungsten-balanced crankshaft, they feature ceramic rear bearings and come pre broken-in and with a new-style low-profile cooling head.
