Pro-Line EB410 Elite body shell

Coming from Pro-Line and made for the Tekno EB410 1/10th scale 4WD buggy is the Elite body shell. Designed with the latest in CAD technology, the Elite features an overall low-slung design with sweeping lines throughout giving it an unmistakable look on the track. A laid-back cab-forward design with rails extending up the hood and A-pillar provides enhanced steering feeling while a sloped centre fin balances out the rear of the car with exceptional side-bite. Air scoops on both sides of the cab have been placed strategically to give maximum cooling effect on the electronics and the cab height was designed to allow for a top mounted fan. The body comes in race ready light weight material and includes two Air Force 2 6.5″ rear wings, paint-then-peel overspray film, window masks and Pro-Line decals.

JConcepts B6.1 swing-operated battery retainer

New from JConcepts and made for Team Associated’s B6.1 based off-road kits is a swing-operated battery retainer. Designed for simplicity, adjustability and quick battery changes, the aluminium rails bolt to the standard B6.1, B6.1D, T6.1 and SC6.1 chassis side rails and with a selection of adjustment holes, can be moved to locate the battery pack fore and aft. The carbon fibre swings include pivoted control by the virtue of steel bushings. The entire assembly is secured using 3x16mm BHCS and the front screw provides the closure control and quick access for battery exchanges. Since there is a lot of variation on the height of the battery packs and what is being used at any given moment, JConcepts has included different spacers to accommodate different heights. When using a tall battery pack, it is necessary to install the tall stand-offs under the aluminium rails to raise the height of the entire assembly and if more height is needed, the included 2mm spacers are installed to raise the carbon fibre swings giving the most amount of height. For low-profile battery packs, no stand-offs are required under the aluminium rails. The set is available in blue or black colours.

Etronix introduce new servo range

Etronix have introduced their new servo range for virtually every RC application. Of use for the RC car community are items such as the ET2036 (0.09s/9.5kg-cm) coreless low-profile and ET2035 (0.11s/8.2kg-cm) low-profile servo as well as the standard sized-and coreless-powered ET2063 (0.10s/32,2kg-cm), ET2062 (0.12s/20.3kg-cm), ET2061 (0.09s/15.8kg-cm), and ET2060 (0.07s/11.2kg-cm) offerings. The latter are 8.4V high-voltage compatible, making them ideal for 1/8th and 1/10th nitro applications. Two other servos worth mentioning are the ET2070 (0.16s/21.8kg-cm) and ET2072 (0.09s/30.3kg-cm). Both are water-proof, they feature metal gears and the ET2072 is a coreless motor HV variant for added performance.

RC Cars Cavalieri D817 carbon fibre option parts

RC Cars Cavalieri from Germany have introduced new carbon fibre option parts for the HB Racing D81x series of off-road buggies. First up are carbon wing flaps for the D817 and D817 V2 buggies. The parts add to the composite rear wing mount and add both structural and aerodynamic stability. Also new is a carbon fibre steering plate for D817, D817 V2 and D815 buggies. The item will reduce overall weight while offering exceptional rigidity. Last but not last is a fuel tank guard for D817 and D815 based nitro kits. The carbon fibre piece is attached to the tank, and using it will lead to less heat being transferred to the tank and fuel, resulting in less fuel tank expansion after long mains.

T-Works multi-function switch hole cover

T-Works have introduced their new multi-function switch hole cover with connector lock, usable for nitro off-road vehicles. The part was designed to fit right onto the on/off switch areas of nitro-powered vehicles, while the connector holder – designed for standard male and female universal-type plugs – securely holds the connector in place. Using these sorts of setups is a popular choice among nitro racers in order to get rid of faulty mechanical switches.

Tekno ET410 1/10th 4WD electric truggy kit

Following a couple of teaser images on social media, Tekno RC have officially unveiled their all-new ET410 1/10th scale 4WD competition electric truggy kit. The vehicle is based off of the popular EB410 1/10th scale 4WD buggy, however new suspension arms, shock towers, rear shocks, body mounts, an ET48.3 inspired truggy body, and driveline components push the ET410 out to 1/10th 2WD/4WD truck specifications. All of the innovations from the EB410 buggy are present on the ET410, such as the weight-forward chassis layout and differential design, the reverse bellcrank steering system and 13mm big bore shocks. During testing it was found that a variety of motors work well to power the ET410, from standard 2-pole offerings (5.5-10.5T) to 4-pole 540-size SCT motors (4000-5000kv). To cope with the power of the latter, a newly designed 32 pitch spur gear and thicker driveshafts are more than up to the task. In addition to standard AE offset 2.2” truck wheels and tyres, SCT wheels and tires of “Slash offset” are a bolt-on option. The kit is available for pre-order now and will ship around mid-August.

4TheTop GeometX 1/8th & 1/10th scale setup boards

4TheTop have introduced their new GeometX setup boards for 1/8th and 1/10th scale vehicles. The multi-layer boards are of a double-sided design with one side offering a flat surface, ideal to adjust the suspension geometry and ride height settings while the other side sports several compartments to arrange parts and tools during building, setup and maintenance. Additional scales allow to measure fasteners and bearings and the boards can also be customised with own designs to make them stand out.

Mugen MBX8 high mount carbon fibre rear shock tower

Following the aluminium high mount rear shock tower for the MBX8 series of buggies, Mugen now also released a carbon fibre variant to further increase the tuneability of the rear end. The shock tower features the same shock and camber link geometry as the standard one, however additional wing mount positions allow to run the rear wing in higher positions which will help with rear downforce if needed. The shock stay is made of high-quality carbon fibre and it fits both the MBX8 nitro and MBX8 Eco E-buggy kits.
