JConcepts Ellipse off-road tyre

During this week’s ROAR Fuel Off-road Nationals JConcepts have introduced their new Ellipse low-height tread pattern. Named after the centre bar built into the tread, the Ellipse is a compliment to successful tyres such as the Dirt Webs and Space Bar. The “web” style tyre was built to compete on smooth high-grip indoor and outdoor surfaces which require a finely detailed connected bar pattern. The tread will be available as 1/8th and 1/10th tyre during the later stages of the 2018 season.

Pro-Line Positron VTR 1/8 truggy tyre – Coming soon

During this week’s ROAR Gas Off-road Nationals Pro-Line is showing their forthcoming Positron VTR tyre for 1/8th off-road truggies. The tread was already introduced for the buggy class and will soon also become available for race trucks. No word yet on an official release date but the tyre is expected to hit stores soon.

Vision Racing slipper puck

Vision Racing have introduced their new slipper puck for the use with Team Associated, Schumacher and Yokomo slipper pads. The tool gives a simply and effective way of removing unwanted glazes off the slipper pads returning them to like new performance. The puck is made of aluminium, it comes black anodised and is best used with 3M fine drywall sanding screen as the perfect scuffing material.

Arrowmax 4S 5200mAh LCG LiPo battery pack

Arrowmax have introduced their new 14.8V 4S 5200mAh LCG LiPo battery pack. The hardcase battery offers a standard-size footprint but a reduced height and a light weight of only 463g, making it ideal for all applications that demand both capacity and a low weight. The battery comes pre-wired with a T-type connector and a standard balance plug and it includes a 10mm thick foam pad for added protection when running in abusive off-road conditions.

Yeah Racing TRX-4 gold-plated screw set

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for the popular Traxxas TRX-4 trail truck is a titanium gold-plated steel screw set. The kit contains M2, M2.5 and M3 fasteners in various dimensions as a replacement for the standard black steel screws. Using the gold-coloured fasteners will add visual impact to the otherwise slightly monotone appearance.

Muchmore 6000mAh Impact LCG HV FD3 battery pack

Muchmore have introduced their new 6000mAh 7.6V Impact LCG HV FD3 hardcase LiHV battery. The power source is built from high-quality 120C high voltage cells and it offers a capacity of 6000mAh, making it usable for modified and stock applications alike. The standard-size battery is of a reduced 22.3mm height for an overall lower centre of gravity and it weighs in at a lightweight 283g.

TLR 8ight-X Race Kit 1/8th nitro buggy kit

Following a couple of teaser images TLR have officially announced the forthcoming release of their brand new and completely redefined 1/8th off-road racing platform. The buggy utilises a new, wider chassis layout to aid in stability and to give the buggy a more neutral feel. New chassis guard have an improved fit on the chassis and a large footprint engine mount reduces flex underneath the engine to eliminate chassis fatigue on high traction race surfaces. Optimised chassis balance with the weight has been moved forward in the chassis provides a better driving balance to the vehicle while the updated radio tray now puts the throttle servo near the engine to eliminate additional linkage. The updated radio tray will ensure the throttle servo is rigidly mounted to avoid any flex by floating the servo off of the centre differential.
