Sweep Racing introduce new off-road tyre compound

Sweep Racing have introduced the new Super Extreme Soft tyre compound for their range of off-road tyres. The softest in the line of now seven rubber mixtures, the Super Extreme Soft is marked with a gold-colour dot for easy identification and it is best used in low-traction and cold racing conditions as it provided increased traction and an easier driving feeling. The new compound is available for Sweep’s full line of off-road tyres.

Team Associated Reflex DB10 & Trophy Rat RTR kits

Team Associated have introduced their new Reflex DB10 buggy and Trophy Rat 1/10th scale RTR truck. Both are based on AE’s 9-time R.O.A.R. Short Course National Championship-winning truck platform. They feature some major upgrades not normally found in RTRs, such as a water-resistant high-power Reedy brushless speed control and 3300kV brushless motor, a 2.4GHz 2-channel radio system as well as AE’s all-new DVC (Dynamic Vehicle Control) receiver unit with built-in adjustable digital gyro which allows vehicle stability to be adjusted to flow with the terrain. A Reedy metal-gear digital high-torque servo and LED lights front and rear round out both packages. The suspension also received an upgrade with the addition of adjustable blue anodised aluminium V2 12mm big bore coil-over shocks. The gearbox now comes with a heavy-duty sealed-gear differential and externally adjustable V2 slipper clutch. 81mm CVA driveshafts increase traction and chassis support. Hex-drive, realistic off road wheels and tyres, to keep the vehicles gripping the ground, come standard. The Reflex DB10 comes finished with a pre-painted buggy body shell while the Trophy Rat utilises a customised and weathered truck body.

Trinity Monster Fan 30mm cooling fan

Trinity have introduced their Monster Fan 30x30mm high-speed cooling fan. It weighs in at 7.7g, is usable with 6V to 8.4V input and offers up to 24,000RPM at 8.4V input for loads of cooling capability for speed controller and fans. The unit comes pre-wired with a red BEC-style connector and including a black extension lead.

Xray XB4 carbon fibre fan mount

Coming from Xray and made for the XB4 series of buggies is a carbon fibre fan mount. Designed for the use with 30mm units, the mount allows for easy access, attachment and removal of an optional cooling fan as it is fixed to the chassis and sideguard using a single screw and an existing chassis hole. Included comes a longer mounting screw to replace the standard guard-fixing fastener.

Formulated with feedback from their factory drivers, the lubricant is the answer for the racer looking for extreme performance and long-lasting protection for their CV joints or universals. The oil will penetrate the metal surface for very free, long lasting joints with the reduced friction of the driveshaft assembly making the car more consistent while improving corner speed.

HRC Racing 6S hardcase LiPo battery pack

HRC Distribution have introduce the HRC Racing brand 6S hardcase LiPo battery pack for 1/8th scale applications. The pack is of the same 138x48x47mm dimension as most 4S packs, allowing to put more power into 1/8th buggies, trucks and monster trucks without having to upgrade the battery compartment. The battery is made of high-quality 4900mAh 60C/110C cells and it comes pre-wired with an industry-standard balancer port and a T-type power connector.

The hubs are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come anodised for wear and to match the remainder of the car’s alloy parts, and using them will make for smoother mid-corner steering, resulting in improved corner speed and consistency in a range of track conditions.

JConcepts EB410 F2 body & front scoop

JConcepts have introduced their new F2 body shell and front scoop for the Tekno EB410 1/10th 4WD buggy. Starting with the body, the lid’s design is based off of the original Finisher body but the F2 provides an even more aggressive look with an increased windshield angle that provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps and simplified side pods to remove unwanted changes in height. The narrow rear-end of the Tekno played a role in the look and feel, however, the JConcepts designers wanted more. The team incorporated a high-end floor feature which aggressively provides a look and feel not seen before on an RC car and reminiscent of an open wheel Formula car. The F2 is also dramatically lower in height and special consideration was made for the steering, servo horn and front geometry to allow the body to have that drop-on fit. The EB410 kit includes a side-mount fan option which has also been taken into consideration with the F2 body design. The body includes a louver design built into the right hand side pod which runs alongside the fan and scribe lines where the user can add holes for direct air circulation. In addition to the newly designed body, JConcepts has included two of the latest S-Type Aero rear wings used by Ryan Maifield to win the 2017 IFMAR World Championships. The rear wing is also available separately in a 2-piece set as is a front scoop/nose cone that also is a direct fit on the EB410.
