MCD Racing RR5 engine heat sink

MCD from Turkey have introduced a new engine heat sink for the RR5 buggy and comparable vehicles. Machined from a single block of 7075 aluminium, the specially shaped heatsink will reduce the temperature at the spark plug by about 10°C, even when run in high ambient temperatures of over 35°C, which results in improved engine performance. The updated heatsink was developed exclusively for the use with NGK CRE8 and CR8EIX spark plugs. In order to protect the cooling head MCD have introduced a composite protector that works with long and short plugs as well as the Barracuda pipe air flow.

Schelle B64 Extreme shock tower set

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced their new Extreme shock towers for the Team Associated B64 buggy. Machined from 4.0mm carbon fibre for stiffness and durability the front and rear tower have the unnecessary outer holes removed for less leverage to break while the front tower sports optional wing mount holes. The front wing is a great addition in high traction when using the less-agressive kit B64 body. Schelle’s testing has found that the JConcepts F2 body does not require a front wing, but the kit body will definitely benefit from it. In the rear, racers get a more durable tower, with new upper link options that improve handling. The kit outer row of holes are shifted 2.5mm towards the centreline, which lengthens the link and improves cornering balance. The inboard row of holes are shifted 2mm and only marked with a drill dimple, as they will be rarely used except for extreme traction conditions. The towers are usable on all B64 kits with standard 27.5 rear shock bodies, they come separately or as complete set with the optional 3-D-printed front wing mount being available separately.

JQRacing Black Edition Spec-Q 1/8th nitro buggy

JQRacing have introduced their factory-built Black Edition Spec-Q nitro buggy. The vehicle has the same specifications and features as the Black Edition kit, but instead of packaging the parts in the familiar bags for assembly by the customer, JQRacing build the car at the factory, to the proven August 2017 stock setup. The only thing left for the racer to do is to install an engine and pipe, and the electronics, and paint the pre-cut body. Even the throttle and brake linkages are built and ready to go. The Spec-Q car is intended to be ready to race, so thread lock has been applied, and camber, toe, and droop have been set correctly. The diffs and shocks are pre-built with the correct oils, getting racers on the track quickly.
