Coming from SWorkz and made for the S12-1 series of 2WD buggies is an aluminium front bulkhead. The part is machined from high-quality material and it comes black anodised and with silver edge details. While being slightly heavier than the stock composite item the bulkhead also improves durability in the inner camberlink ballstud area while also giving more front end grip.
New from ProTek R/C is the 370TBL Black Label waterproof high-torque brushless crawler servo. Utilising a black anodised aluminium case with heatsink middle section the servo pulls up to a massive 46.8kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.13s, thanks to a brushless motor and full steel gears. It is also waterproof up to one meter, high-voltage compatible, it utilises dual ball bearings and comes with an all-black 280mm lead, making it ideal for heavy 2.2 class rigs, U4 racers, lightweight 1.9 comp builds, and ultra detailed scalers alike.
Team Orion have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming competition brushless speed controller. By the looks of things the speedo in question will be the follow-up model of the successful R10.1 Pro 1/10th ESC with a new, compact 1/8th controller being possible also. Coming this February is Schumacher’s new Cougar KD dirt spec 2WD buggy kit. Designed for low-traction dirt tracks the prototype of the buggy already showed some great performance at the European Off-Road Championships in Spain where Schumacher factory driver Michal Orlowski finished third on the podium. The KD has the adjustability to conquer loose dirt to hard packed clay tracks as well as other low-grip surfaces thanks to a new 3-gear stand-up gearbox with 14-ball differential and a newly designed 2.5mm aluminium chassis that is usable with a range of battery layouts including saddle, square and shorty. Carbon fibre side pods make for advanced chassis stiffness tuning and an updated suspension geometry ensures fast and consistent handling. Other features include shocks with bleed screw and vented options, a lightweight twin-pad slipper clutch and a new sleek bodyshell.

Coming from Serpent are a range of different clutch shoes for 4-pin and 3-pin clutches. All sets are available as 7075 and 6061 aluminium kits with the harder 7075 material offering more slip while the softer and black anodised 6061 shoes grip with a bit more emphasis. The sets fit the respective clutch assemblies with the standard 4-shoe offering is a bit more aggressive while the 3-shoe clutch engages smoother. Additionally Serpent also offers a 3-shoe carbon fibre set that allows to mix the different materials for even finer clutch tuning. All clutch shoes are usable with buggies, truggies and GT cars.
Coming from Mckune Design and made for the Kyosho RB6.6 2WD buggy are three new carbon fibre shock towers. Machined from high-quality 4mm USA-made carbon fibre, the towers are available in stock geometry as well as a plus 2mm front tower for more up travel. The parts are a direct fit and they are available now.
HB Racing have released a first teaser for their forthcoming D817 1/8th nitro buggy kit. The buggy that helped HB Racing’s David Ronnefalk to win the 2016 IFMAR Nitro Buggy World Championship title is expected to show some relevant updates compared to its predecessor, the D815V2, with David’s Worlds winning hybrid buggy offering a first taste of what to expect.

The Spektrum SR2010 DSMR micro race receiver, that is part of the company’s innovative S6240RX servo and receiver unit, is also available separately for those who look for a tiny and lightweight unit. Offering a footprint of 25.5×17.6mm at a height of 13.6mm, the receiver weighs in at 5.5g and it utilises the DSMR frequency-agile surface protocol with a response rate of 5.5ms. The transparent case features an integrated antenna holder and the internals of the 3/2-channel receiver are protected using a Reliakote coating. The high-voltage compatible receiver furthermore features an improved antenna design optimise RF signal strength and it is usable with Spektrum DSMR-compatible transmitters.
