Coming from TLR and suitable for the 22 range of off-road vehicles is a 3-gear conversion kit. It fits the 22 2.0, 22T 2.0 and 22SCT 2.0 and allows to run the somewhat ageing vehicles with a more modern 3-gear setup as it is preferred by most mid motor drivers today. Included in the set are the gearbox halves, suitable waterfalls, a new idler gear and a spacer tube. The kit will become available in June.

JConcepts have introduced the Aero front scoop for Team Associated B5-series buggies. Usable on all buggies with flat front arm tower setup, the option part is a simple yet effective way to gain some response in the front-end in high-speed situations. The scoop provides a more neutral feel low-speed and tends to numb out the steering in 180 degree corners while providing great holding power in high-speed sweeping corners typically associated with larger track layouts and conditions. Cut lines are included for easy trimming while dimples are located on the wing itself to indicate where to mount to the front shock tower. The wing uses 2x8mm screws for mounting but the needed screw holes need to be drilled by yourself.
German company Absima have introduced a range of 1/10th buggy rims for vehicles with 12mm or 14mm hex wheel adapters. Coming in four specifications including 12mm hex 2WD front, 4WD front, and a general rear variant as well as 14mm 4WD front and 4WD rear variants the rims are moulded from lightweight yet durable Pro Flexlight material and they are available in a range of colours including white, yellow, green and orange and in sets of two rims.
Horizon Hobby have introduced the new Losi Baja Rey 1/10th scale 4WD ready-to-run desert truck. The vehicle builds on a Baja-inspired 4WD chassis with long-travel suspension. The foundation consists of a 3mm, hard-anodised aluminium chassis plate that is integrated with a realistic roll cage made of super-tough composite material. To this it adds a long-travel, independent front suspension and 4-link live rear axle that look and function exactly like their full-scale counterparts. The long-travel shocks are soaking up the energy from big bumps and jumps and they also feature threaded shock bodies with adjustment collars to fine-tune the pre-load settings of the coil-over springs. External bump stops provide plush landings on the hardest surfaces.
Made for TLR’s 22 3.0 buggy is a range of new option parts from Exotek. First up is the vented Flite motor plate, specifically designed for indoor off-road racing. Excessive machining results in maximised motor cooling with the plate offering large cooling openings to reduce the motor and slipper clutch temperatures. Weighing in at 14 gram the plate also makes for a lower centre of gravity while still maintaining the critical motor mounting areas for solid motor mounting and gear mesh.
Avid have introduced updated aluminium steering bellcranks for the Team Associated B5-series of buggies and trucks. They offer a revised design and material with the left bellcrank now being made of 7075-T6 alloy in order to improve reliability which was an issue with the older specification especially in truck applications. The new bellcranks still are of a lightweight design for minimal weight gain and they are strong enough to withstand the rigours of racing even on high-bite surfaces and with today’s high-power servos. The set includes the left and right bellcrank and two aluminium crush tubes and it fits all AE fifth generation vehicles such as the B5, B5M, T5M and SC5M.
Team Associated are currently working on their new Stealth low-profile 3-gear gearbox for the B5M mid motor buggy. A design that’s around for some time, the low-profile gearboxes are a common sight in the 2WD class when running on high to very high bite astro and carpet surfaces and so far only aftermarket conversion kits are available for Team Associated’s B5M buggy. The issued images show a prototype made up using rapid prototype parts with the actual gearbox expected to be of a standard black colour. Pro-Line have introduced the 1973 Ford Bronco rock crawler bodyshell for 12″/305mm wheelbase rigs. Capturing the overall essence of the original Bronco the body features a detailed grill, headlights, body moulding trim and that distinct Bronco look. The body fits trucks such as the Axial SCX10 and Vaterra Ascender and it comes clear, including window masks and a comprehensive decal sheet.
