Xray have introduced rear aluminium uprights for the XB2 2WD off-road buggy. The compact design hubs are made using black anodised 7075-T6 aluminium and they offer nine different upper camber link mounting positions for super-fine roll centre adjustments. The zero degree toe hubs are best suited for high-traction conditions as they increase rear stability.

Kyosho are currently teasing a possible Optima 1/10th 4WD buggy re-release. The iconic 1980’s buggy once featured a chain-driven all-wheel drivetrain with rear motor, the infamous red body small bore shock absorbers, and an aluminium frame chassis. The silhouette image hints towards a pretty close reproduction of the buggy as it was previously done with the Scorpion, Tomahawk and Beetle. Yokomo will soon have two new YZ-2 buggy kits available in the form of the YZ-2CA and YZ-2DT. Both build on the previous and now discontinued YZ-2 buggy and they feature a new aluminium main chassis and dedicated gearbox designs for high-grip carpet or low-grip dirt applications. The YZ-2CA carpet and astro turf specific car, as used by Yokomo factory driver Lee Martin during last weekend’s third round of the 2015/16 EOS, comes with a newly designed low layshaft “carpet spec” 3-gear transmission with new idler gear, long suspension arms, and a lightweight body, making the buggy ideal for all high-grip applications.
New from Flash Point R/C come aluminium differential cross pins for Mugen and TLR vehicles as well as high-pressure grease. Starting with the cross pins, the set can be used in Mugen Seiki vehicles including the MBX7, MBX7R, 7R Eco, MBX7T, MBX7TR, and MBX7TR Eco and as well as the TLR 8ight, 8ight-T, and 8ight-E. The package includes six aluminium cross pins that greatly reduce the rotating mass of the drive train. This will increase acceleration and allow your vehicle to have a lower operating temperature. Also new is the High-Pressure grease that is ideal for a multitude of applications including thrust bearings, CVA joints, ring and pinions, outdrives, as well as a general lubrication for all metal parts.

HPI Racing’s iconic Savage 1/8th scale monster truck range receives a make-over for the 2016 season with the XL 5.9 2.0, XL Octane V2 and XL Flux all being on show during this week’s Nuremberg International Toy Fair. Starting with the updated Savage XL 5.9 2.0, the truck features a variety of upgrades and changes, making it faster, meaner and even bigger. Underneath the GTXL-1 bodyshell in a new subdued colour, the chassis is the same as the colossal Savage XL Octane, with its TVP design, 3-speed Octane transmission, triple brake disc system, and a complete set of all-metal Super HD drivetrain parts. The truck is powered by the new F5.9 engine.
Xray have introduced new graphite lower A-arms for the XB2 2WD off-road buggy. They are made from an exclusive composite mixture to provide the perfect balance between durability and performance. The arms are best used in high to very-high traction conditions where they help to free the car up in corners and they are available separately as left and right rear arms as well as universal front arm suitable for both sides.
New from JConcepts and made for the TLR22 3.0 buggy are the Aero front wings. Mounted above the front shock tower on the TLR series of vehicles, the front wing mounts in “clean air” and is quite easy to trim, use and test without sacrificing all important track time. Available in two widths, the driver can choose either the “narrow” for a lighter feel or “wide” for heavier down force. The front wing features a high-attack design with trim-able rear gurney options and a radical, edgy design which compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body design. The leading centre section of the wing has been formed into a unique V-shape to perfectly outline the front shock tower geometry and cut lines are included for easy trimming while triple wing mount dimples are included for a bolt-on fit to the popular TLR 22 series of vehicles.
During this week’s Nuremberg International Toy Fair HRC Distribution are presenting their forthcoming Team Magic E6 III BES almost-ready-to-run monster truck. The 1/8th scale electric vehicle is the full option ARR version of the popular E6 III HX RTR truck and it comes without electronics but a range of gold-coloured aluminium option parts such as front and rear shock towers, sliding motor mount, primary transmission case, shocks, wheel hex adapters and nuts, wing buttons, and suspensions arm mount plates. The kit also features a steel central diff case and steel shock pivot balls. Included will be also a set of all-terrain tyres on black wheels and a clear bodyshell.
