JConcepts Aero car-stand

JConcepts Aero car-stand

JConcepts begins 2016 with fresh pit-ware for the 1/10th and 1/8th racing scene. Given to competitors at the Reedy Offroad Race of Champions earlier this year, the Aero car-stand in matte black material stands out in any pit area and supports the vehicle with its unique footing and highly chiseled shape. A rail-like border contains the shape while a deep draw along the sides creates a bold surface for included decal or custom wrap. A “V” step-down feature was added to the ends which brings the styling back down to earth while the void creates added space below the vehicle. A lower stance was built into the design and the smaller foot-print occupies minimal space in the pits. Top load pockets were incorporated as catch-all compartments for body clips, wheel nuts or any small items that are routinely changed during a race event. Triangle cushion pads are positioned on the top to provide support all the way to the edges on any platform vehicle to prevent slippage. JConcepts has included a decal wrap for maximum exposure and presence that resembles the popular chassis tape “Striker” theme.

Serpent Cobra SRX8 buggy

SerpentSRX8-1

Following a number of teasers, Serpent have finally released their all new Cobra SRX8 1/8th scale buggy. Designed by Billy Easton, the focus was on performance, ease of use and durability. A very well specced kit, the major changes include new gear-differentials that have a larger case to allow for more oil inside and a built in pressure compensation system, resulting in a more consistent diff over longer runs. A new gear-mesh plate system allows for easy and secure engine (dis)assembly without worrying about gear mesh. For tuning, the front and rear lower wishbones allow inserts to be both mounted in the top and bottom for many possible flex options, using no inserts, moulded inserts, carbon inserts, or mixed of both inserts. Finally the new angled steering system offers optimal Ackermann settings as well as reduced bumpsteer.
