New Durango 1/8th & 1/10th off-road kits coming soon

Team Durango soon have a range of all-new 1/8th kits and a new 1/10th short course truck available. As for the 1/8th vehicles you can expect the DNX8 nitro and DEX8 electric 1/8th buggies alongside the DEX8T electric 1/8th truggy. No word yet on a nitro-powered truck but Team Durango will also have a new 1/10th scale short course truck available although the company did so far not specify if it is a 2WD or 4WD kit. We will bring you more information as soon as they surface.

Schelle Racing Innovations B5 aluminium rear hubs

Schelle introduce a new 2-piece hub concept for the Team Associated B5 and T5 platform. The 2-piece design with a replaceable upper cab increases adjustment and durability as the upper part can be spaced away from the main hub with ballstud shims, allowing fine “in-between” adjustments for the rear upper link. True to the kit geometry, the zero degree toe aluminium hubs are of a symmetric design with shared parts left and right. Plastic bearing inserts and hinge pin set screws make for the highest possible precision and slop-free parts fitment. The upper cap design reduces leverage on the outer ballstud, as well as increasing shock clearance for the turnbuckle. The hubs come in black or blue anodising and are available now.

HB D815 Ty Tessman Edition 1/8th nitro buggy

HPI Racing introduce the latest incarnation of HB’s World Championship winning D8 series buggy, the D815. Building on the buggy that won the 2014 IFMAR Worlds the the D815 features an array of new or redesigned parts such as a tougher, simpler and lighter drivetrain with a new 43/13 gear ratio, it comes with upgraded centre driveshafts with CVD boots and a split centre bulkhead for easier maintenance and tuning. Also new are steel brake discs combined with sintered brake pads, as well as several updated suspension parts such as new aluminium steering blocks with carbon steering arms, new carbon rear hub carrier arms, new rear uprights and a one-piece radio tray that fits most LiPo battery packs. Overall the changes are meant to lead to an improved balance with more rear end grip and a better high-speed feel. Included with the kit, that will hit the stores in April, is also a genuine Pro-Line Trifecta lightweight lexan rear wing. New Kyosho silicone shock oil coming soon

Kyosho soon has a new range of high-quality silicone shock oil in eight different viscosities available. Available as 300 to 650 variant the pure silicone fluids are made in Japan and they come in colour-coded 80cc bottles.

Team Orion CRF 21 7-port Factory Tuned Truggy engine

Team Orion introduce the new CRF 21 7-port Factory Tuned truggy engine, specially designed for the use in 1/8th off-road trucks. Compared to its predecessor the engine features a reduced displacement of now 3.5cc, a reinforced crankcase and a 9-sphere rear ceramic ball bearing. The engine, that is also good for the use in 1/8th buggies, comes with a 2-needle aluminium carburettor and it is of a long stroke design.

New Vampire Racing 100C & 80C LiPo battery packs

Vampire Racing introduce three new competition LiPo battery packs made from the latest generation of high-performance cells. First up is the 6400mAh 100C stick pack whose high output voltage makes it ideal for Stock racing classes. The high capacity makes it also very useful demanding Modified class racing. Also new are a 5700mAh 80C saddle and a 4600mAh shorty battery pack. All packs are made from a new generation of cells that is more powerful and less prone to swelling even when the packs are abused through too high or too low voltage. Both the stick and shorty pack come with dual 4mm bullet-type connector tubes to allow for even higher power output while the saddle pack features a single 4mm tube layout.

Xray XB4 4-hole aluminium steering link

New from Xray and made for the XB4 line of 1/10th buggies is a 4-hole aluminium steering link. Made from Swiss 7075-T6 aluminium and coming black anodised and laser-etched the part offers additional steering Ackermann positions for a wider range of steering angle settings while being of a higher rigidity at the same time. The sturdy construction also makes for improved steering precision and a more predictable handling especially on high-bite surfaces.

Schumacher Minispike large scale tyre

Schumacher introduce the new Minispike tyre for 1/5th large scale vehicles. Offering an inner diameter of 130mm the tyre is designed for the latest larger diameter wheels and it is available in Schumacher’s most popular yellow compound suitable for grass and astro surfaces. The tyre is supplied in pairs without inserts.
