The opening round of the TORCH Indoor Winter Series was held this past weekend. In 2WD Modified Buggy it was Lee Martin with the overall TQ and also the win in the A-main events, leaving Yasir Mughal in 2nd overall and Jimmy Whitehall in 3rd. Kevin Brunsden and Jon Hazlewood would complete the top 5 results.

Round 1 of the Answer RC Winter Series was held at the Pendle and District Model Car Club in Nelson, UK this past weekend. The event saw Team Associated’s Neil Cragg taking the overall TQ in the Nitro Buggy class from SWorkz’s John Holmes in 2nd. In the 22-minute A-main event it was also Neil who would hold the upper hand as he took the win a lap in front of John, as Nick Cox (HB Racing) came in 3rd to round out the podium. Chris Sharpe-Simkiss (SWorkz) would come in 4th overall, leading the best of the rest.

The final round of the French 1/8th Nitro Buggy Championship was held in Perthuis this past weekend with the overall Elite category title still being up for grabs. Eliot Marcon took the overall TQ, winning two of the five qualifying rounds and leaving behind Jerome Aigoin, who also scored two round TQs, in 2nd after the tie-breaker. Yannick Aigoin came in 3rd from Renaud Savoya , who came out with a single round TQ, in 4th. The 45-minute A-main event then had Renaud Savoya (TLR) taking his fourth win in a row this season, some four seconds in front of Xray’s Yannick Aigoin while Team Associated’s Tom Robin came in 3rd, a lap down. Some six seconds behind Tom, Jerome Aigoin (Xray) lead the best of the rest. With the win, Renaud also secured himself the French national title, his 7th overall.

The Fear Farm 2.0 race was held in Tonder, Denmark this past weekend. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class it was Pelle Culmsee (SWorkz/Picco/TPro) with the overall TQ and also the win in the 45-minute A-main event. Peter Harder (Xray/FX/Pro-Line) came in 2nd a lap down while Daniel Bubel came in 3rd (Xray/FX/Pro-Line) to round out the podium result from Magnus Frandsen 4th and Oliver Fischer 5th.

Beans RC in Sherrodsville, Ohio held the 1st Annual Night Of The Living Nitros recently. In 1/8th E-Buggy it was Xray’s Paul Ciccarello who would take the win by almost a lap with Tekno RC’s Joey Bourdon 2nd and Agama’s Ryan Lutz in 3rd.

Round 4 of the 2019 Italian 1/8th Off-road Championship was hosted by the Miniautodromo Casa Mora track in Castiglione della Pescaia last weekend. Xray’s Marco Baruffolo would walk away with the overall TQ after the qualifiers, however in the 45-minute A-main event he had to settle for 3rd overall as Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro took the win and with it his 3rd overall championship title. The runner-up spot at round 4 would be obtained by Kyosho’s Marco Baruffolo.

Mugen Seiki Europe have announced the signing of Burak and Berkan Kilic to their international racing team. The 15 and 13-years old talents are already competing at the highest level with reigning German Champion Burak being able to achieve a podium finish at this year’s European Championship in Italy, while Berkan became Junior European Champion. The two brothers will use Mugen’s MBX8 off-road platform and Mugen Seiki products at all major national and international events with immediate effect.

The 3rd round of the Argentinean National Off-Road Championship was held in the city of Santa Rosa La Pampa recently. In 1/8th Pro Nitro Buggy it was Agustin Cutini with the win from Nicolas Bregante on the runner-up spot. Santo Barbera came in 3rd to round out the podium.
