Turner & Rico win at JBRL Rd3

Round 3 of the 2014 JBRL Electric Series was run at Rainman’s Hobbies in Bakersfield, California. While Kevin Motter and Matthew Pages came out successful in the 2WD and 4WD Modified Buggy classes, Cody Turner took the win in Pro2 Short Course followed by Kevin Motter and Nicholas Blais in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Pro4 SC went to Rudy Rico who left Ryan Dunford and David Jenson behind while the 2WD Modified Truck win went to Jake Mayo. Matt Gilbert and Wayne Wyrick completed the top 3 result. In 1/8th E-Buggy Ryan Dunford ended the day on top with Rudy Rico and Nicholas Blais grabbing the two remaining podium spots. More results can be found on the official JBRL website by clicking here.

Kurt van Vlemen wins at Benelux Truggy nationals Rd2

The 2nd round of the Benelux Truggy nationals was held on the astroturf track of Helmond. 35 racers from the Netherlands and Belgium attended the event that was won by Belgium driver Kurt van Vlemen (Serpent). Jarno Pijper (Xray) and Jordy Velder (Kyosho) completed the top 3 result. The national series resumes on the 25th of May in Appingedam.

Atsushi Hara wins Pro Buggy at Asia Contest

The 2nd annual Asia Contest was run at the former IFMAR World Championship track in Pataya and saw SWorkz’ Atsushi Hara taking the win from Wataru Takashiro (Kyosho) and Paphon C (Mugen). Witsatut R (Agama) and Meen V (Mugen) completed the top 5 result.

Motter & Pages win at JBRL Electric Series Rd3

The 2014 JBRL Electric Series round 3 hosted by Rainman’s Hobby & Raceway located in Bakersfield, CA took place last weekend and with 270 entries, breaking another record for the most entries in Bakersfield. Kevin Motter takes the win in 2WD Modified Buggy with his Team Associated B5M and put down some incredible laps taking the TQ spot and a dominate win in the A Main. Elsewhere in the 4WD class Matthew Pages drove his TLR 22-4 to victory. The 2014 JBRL Electric Series will resume on May 17th at OCRC.

Nathan Bernal wins at Traction Raceway Showdown

The 3rd annual Traction Raceway Showdown at Traction Raceway in Reno NV was held this past weekend. There were 147 entries, with four rounds of qualifying. JConcepts team driver Nathan Bernal dominated 2WD Modified Buggy and saw some great battles in 4WD Buggy. Nathan TQ’d three of the four rounds in 2WD, and qualified 2nd overall in 4WD. Going into the triple A-mains Nathan was able to win both A1 and A2 in 2WD, and in 4WD Nathan had some great battles with Chris Jarosz with him taking A1 and Nathan taking A2 and A3.

Eric Albano wins 2WD Open Buggy at Triple C

Delta RC Raceway hosted their first annual Cali Cup Challenge in Antioch, California. Having rained the weekend before, the original date for the race, the track crew worked hard to get the outdoor track prepped and ready to go. Delta RC hosted a great event under challenging circumstances, with a smooth program and just under 100 entries. Eric Albano was in attendance competing in the 2WD open buggy class with his Reedy-powered, Team Associated B5M. Albano took the TQ honors after five rounds of qualifying, taking best three out of five going into the triple A mains. A1 and A2 saw Albano taking the win by almost a lap on the field.

2014 Super Cup Championship Series Rd4 – Report

The final round of JConcepts Super Cup Championship Series Spring Session continued its record pace with 191 entries Saturday at FZRC in Sarasota FL. The weather gods were set to see some of the best action to date as the sunny south Florida weather was set perfectly in the 80’s with a light breeze. Marty Chilton and the FZRC crew groomed and manicured the red clay surface to give racers the most technical layout challenge to date. As racers began to pack the track early Friday morning, all quickly focused on their fast lines and marks for consistent lap times.
