Martin Bayer re-signs for Xray

Bayer Xray

Xray have announced that multiple-Czech champion and European championship finalist Martin Bayer will continue to race with Xray in 2013. Martin has been an important member of the R&D team participating in the development and testing of the XB9 & XB4. Martin had this to say:

2012 was my first year with Team Xray. I have expected that after changing a team it will be like to start from beginning and it will be difficult but at the end it was one of my most successful years. Juraj is extremely dedicated and passionate about his work and inspires everyone in the team to work hard and harder and to reach at least 120%. We have been as team working closely together which is very positive for me and we have made big improvements on the car and still many to come. Working with the Xray Factory team is a pleasure and I am happy to re-sign for 2013. I hope our result will be even better and I will do all for it.

Cody King signs for Reds Racing

Cody King signs for Reds Racing

In a surprise move Reds Racing have signed 2010 IFMAR World Champion Cody King. Cody had a great showing at the recent 2012 World’s in Argentina, and with his experience, the Italian company expects to see the engine line evolve and grow to a whole new level during the next two years.  Cody and his dad, Paul, will have a full race schedule and will work closely with Mario Rossi on R&D. Cody had this to say:

First, I have to say thank you to Team Orion, and specifically Philippe Neidhart and Adrien Bertin for the last several years together. Adrien has made such good progress over the past few years, and of course with a World Championship, that is something special we did together. I will always have great memories and a special bond with those guys because of our accomplishments. Now we have a change. I have to say thanks to Mario Rossi, Marco Rossi, and Alex Pilson for giving me this great opportunity with Reds Racing. I am super excited to be working with Mario Rossi, I mean what more could you ask for?! Our initial testing of the engines has been very good, tons of power and cool operation. The quality and simplicity using these engines is very good. With such a good factory and Mario guiding the way, it’s going to be a great experience. I can’t wait for the racing season to begin. Our first big stop is coming right up at the Nitro Challenge on February 20th.

Ellis Stafford joins Vampire Racing

Ellis Stafford joins Vampire Racing

Vampire Racing is proud to announce the signing of two-times 1/10 scale 4WD EFRA European and multiple British Champion Ellis Stafford to run Vampire Racing batteries, brushless motors and controllers in 2013 and 2014. Ellis will also use the upcoming Vampire Racing high performance servos that will be released very soon. This is what Ellis has to say about the deal.

Having nearly joined Vampire 2 years ago when they were very new to the racing scene I had kept a keen eye on the products and remained in touch with Sven over that time as well. The eagerness that Sven and Vampire have to provide top quality products to all levels and the speed at which they have levelled to the well established companies go to show the drive within the company, I’m really looking forward to the coming years with helping produce the best products and also showing just want Vampire products can do on track.
