Hartson & Numedahl dominate JC Indoor Nats Rd2

The JConcepts Indoor Nationals series made its second stop on the tour at Mike’s Hobby Shop just outside of Dallas, TX in Carrollton. The Team Associated supported event featured some top-level talent, including Steven Hartson, Kody Numedahl, Brent Thielke and Mr. JConcepts himself Jason Ruona. The indoor facility features a mixed topsoil surface roughly 100 x 50′. The flowing layout saw lap times in the low 20s for most classes. From the first laps it was clear that the Reedy/LRP-powered vehicles of Hartson and Numedahl were ready to race. Once qualifying began, there was little doubt who would start on pole. Setting the fastest time in 2WD Modified, 4WD Modified, and 4WD Short Course, Steven Hartson showed the fastest way around the circuit with his B4.1 Worlds Edition, B44.1 and SC10 4×4 and would go on to take the wins in all classes. In the 2WD Short Course class, Kody Numedahl and his FT SC10 set a time that was untouchable, ensuring his TQ grid position for the triple A mains, which he too would convert into the win.

Max Mört joins JQ factory team

10 year old Max Mört from Finland has joined the JQ Products factory team. Being part of the JQ family for a few years now the young Scandinavian has been able to secure a full factory team ride. Here is how it went down, in JQ’s own words:

[Max] … fits in perfectly with our brand, we have been looking for the right young drivers to support, drivers with passion, goals, and the right attitude. That is why we already support drivers like the Medjoubi brothers, Bradley Baird, Tanner Stees and Chris Marrale. And that is why I made this promise, because I knew, if I did forget, and lose this “bet” I would be winning anyway, maybe not right away, but in the future.

Kyosho factory driver Jared Tebo has taken his 4th Neo title from 4 starts with a dominant showing at the Indoor event at Harper Adams in the UK. Starting from pole position he was kept honest by Canadian Hot Bodies star Ty Tessmann, who despite being faster on track, couldn’t make up the extra fuel stop he had over Tebo. Tebo would eventually take the victory by some 18 seconds over Tessmann with Associated driver Ryan Maifield in 3rd, just in front of team mate Ryan Cavalieri. Full coverage on Neo Buggy here.
