Miguel Matias signs for TLR

Team Losi Racing have announced the signing of Miguel Matias for the 2012 racing season. Miguel is an 8x Portuguese National Champion, former European Champion and multiple European and World Championship podium finisher. The former JQ Products driver will be racing both nitro and electric for TLR and will also be using the Spektrum DX3R Pro Radio. Miguel will attend local races, as well as major races worldwide, concentrating on the Nitro and Electric Euro’s and the IFMAR 1/8th World Championship in 2012.

Neumann dominates offroad at DHI Cup

Alongside the DHI Cup touring car race it was the first time for an international indoor off-road race. Many top drivers from northern Europe countries had showed up for this event. Not very surprising was that Germany’s Jörn Neumann was the man to beat in both 2WD & 4WD classes, in 2WD Oskar Levin from Sweden tried to beat Neumann together with Alex Hardt from Germany and they could put their cars on the grid on 2nd and 3rd spot. Neumann kept the pace up in all three finals and won all three legs ahead of Oskar Levin and Alex Hardt. 1/8 Nitro ace Martin Hansen made great progress in the finals from his 9th place start position as he ended in 4th position overall with a very good run in the third leg where Martin put himself into 2nd place.

TLR22 Cup Italia – Announcement

Horizon Hobby have announced the TLR22 Cup Italia, a 4 date trophy series for all 1/10th 2wd electric off road buggies. It will take place in the north of Italy between January and April, with the opener in Mondovi on the 22nd of January. For the final round they are also thinking to open it out to SC trucks. JConcepts sign Dustin Evans for 2012

Concepts have signed 2011 ROAR National Champion Dustin Evans to the 2012 racing team. One of TLR’s top drivers, Dustin brings versatility to an already speedy JConcepts driver line-up. The Denver, Colorado, native has ascended through the World rankings and established himself as a winner while being one of the few drivers capable of competing in 7 different classes of competition. Having won the ROAR Nationals as well as the Reedy Invitational race last year, Dustin’s first official race with the team will be at West Coast RC Raceway in 2 weeks to defend his Reedy Race title.

Lucas Sanford wins BL at Snowman Series Rd1

New Tekno RC driver Lucas Sanford took the win this weekend in the 1/8th Electric Buggy class to kick off Round 1 of the Snowman Series hosted by ARC Raceway in Temecula, CA. The weather was nice during the day, but turned bitter cold as the night went on. A few adjustments had to be made to the car to make sure it would perform correctly in the cold and at the sound of the tone, it was all Lucas. The car was hooked up and locked in and after the first lap no one would catch him. In 2nd place was Tekno RC driver Matt Wolter also running one of the new Tekno RC chassis. At the halfway point, Tekno RC driver Ryan Hughes, also driving a new Tekno RC chassis, was in 3rd when a battery issue sidelined him. In all it was a great night of racing. We’ll bring bigger jackets and gloves for the next round.

Drake & Moller wins Rd1 of Snowman Series

ARC Raceway kicked off its 2012 race season this past weekend with round one of the Snowman Series. Consisting of four rounds, round one had 12 heats. TLR, Novarossi, Pro-Line driver Adam Drake TQ’d both rounds of qualifying in the 1/8th Pro Buggy class in front of teammate’s Drew Moller and Matt Schreffler. In the 1/8th Pro Truck class Ronda Drake TQ’d round one with her new TLR 8ight T 2.0. Drew Moller TQ’d round two and would be the overall TQ for the truck class. In the 30 minute buggy final Adam Drake ran flawless and took the victory by more than two laps over Carson Wernimont in second and Colin Herzig in third. Drew Moller won the 20 minute truck final followed by teammate Andy Carillo in 2nd and Ronda Drake in 4th after a rough start.

Kyosho Masters 2012 – Announcement

Kyosho France were in touch to inform us of the 14th running of the Kyosho Masters. The race will take place at Sucy en Brie in France from the 15th to the 17th of June this year. As the New Year is upon us, all of us in the EOS organization want to wish everyone a very happy New Year. The new year will bring with it the beginning of the much anticipated Euro Offroad Series, kicking off in the Czech Republic on February 10th to 12th. As we prepare for the EOS, we would like to take this time to announce that the official race tire for the 2012 EOS will be dBoots tyres.
