2WD-Podium

Another round of the Danish 1/10 off-road national race series was held in Viborg on the 18th on June on a very bumpy track near Jutland. Most of the Danish drivers had spent Friday practising on the new venue, and the beautiful prepared outdoor carpet track proved a good challenge with its cool layout and challenging jumps and tables. Q1 went to Nicolai Sørensen driving his Losi 22 in mid-motor configuration while Jonas Kaerup, driving an AE/CML C4.1 mid-motor buggy ended up 13th in the round doing many mistakes.

Norcal-Offroad-Race-2WD

TLR’s Dustin Evans swept the 2WD and 4WD classes at the third round of the Norcal off-road championships at Norcal Hobbies. In 1/10 2WD Dustin used his TLR 22 buggy to set the fastest time in every round and take the overall TQ, leading the top 7 qualifiers all with TLR 22’s. When the tone went off for A1, Dustin quickly jumped out to a quick lead, and never looked back taking the win, with Cody Turner in 2nd. A2 say more of the same with Dustin getting an early lead, and moving away from the pack. Matt Schreffler was able to hold onto the 2nd position ahead of Cody Turner in 3rd. Hungarian Offroad Championships Rd3 report

Hungarian Offroad Championships Rd3 report

Last weekend the 3rd round of the Hungarian Offroad Championship was held in Apaj, a small village about 50km’s from the capital city of Budapest. The event was organised by RCOR, the biggiest Hungarian RC club. They prepared well for this event, once again they arranged permanent marshals so drivers did not need to help after their heats which was quite good news in the very hot weather, around 35°C, and huge dust. Trackside buffet was taking care all of our dining needs. Their track is very versatile, it has all kind of jumps (table, double, triple, step-down) and corners (sweeper, harpin, chicane) especially the long high-speed banked corner after the main straight where you can make your laptime with a big brave heart or sky rocket the car on the ruts into the fence.
