Schumacher Racing are very pleased to announce the signing of extremely experienced and professional US racer Matt Chambers. He has made multiple ROAR Nationals Mains and is a great guy to add to the USA team. His focus will now be on 1/10th Off Road with his Schumacher rides. Matt had the following to say, ‘I have wanted to race for Schumacher Racing for more than a decade, I have always felt that they make superior cars with no compromises. This year it has all finally lined up for me to do so. I can’t wait to race the Schumacher cars and work with the US and the European team drivers. Needless to say I’m very excited for 2022 & 2023. SWorkz have announced that top French driver Clement Boda will race with SWorkz 1/10 and 1/8 cars in the next years. The former Associated driver is joined in his move to SWorkz by Sebastian Mure who will now take up the 1/10th team manager role. Max Sonnleitner made the following statement, ‘I am really happy to have with Clément Boda another young top driver in the SWorkz factory team. Clement fits perfectly in our motivated team of RC Car enthusiasts.’ On their new team manager Max continued ‘We are excited to have an exclusive Team Manager for 1/10. This is a consequent way of pushing also our 1/10 products to the top. And I am very certain, that Sebastien is the right guy for that effort.’

Having signed his brother Jonathan, Xray have announced that another one of the UK’s top drivers Will Skidmore is also joining the Xray Factory Team to race the XB2, XB4, and XB8 platforms. The BRCA Champion said, ‘I am very excited to be joining the Xray team for this season and beyond. Schumacher Racing are excited to welcome top USA racer Mikey Brown to the team. Mikey will be a great asset to their team in the US, and will be attending some races at Tacoma RC, including the NIS events (Northwest Indoor Series), April Fools Classic event in Utah and other events around the Northwest. This past weekend was the fourth round of the Worksop series, entries were reduced slightly for this round to help try and keep everyone distanced and safe. The race format was round by round qualifying, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position. The Worksop team once again didn’t disappoint providing a fantastic track layout for this event. Schumacher’s new signing Daniel Kobbevik had flown over from Norway, he did great the day before at the Silverstone series on carpet and also attended this race to learn his new rides. In 2wd qualifying, it was Neil Cragg who dominated proceedings by taking TQ in all 4 rounds, therefore he would line up on pole. Ben Smith would be 2nd and Daniel Kobbevik would line up an impressive 3rd.

Xray have announced that one of the top Portuguese drivers Ricardo Monteiro is joining their Factory Team to race the XB8 platform. The multiple Portuguese national champion said, ‘Joining Xray is exactly like coming back home. I had my first r/c contract with them more than a decade ago when I was really young and the connection stayed ever since. I wouldn’t be where I am today without all the experiences I was provided with their support and I always felt like I owed it to them to return one day and give it my absolute best. With the next year being a Euros and Worlds year, and on territories that I already have some experience, I felt like it was a no brainer to jump on board with them and help in anyway Can’t wait to get on track and start creating new and exciting memories with all the Xray family!’
