The Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series WCICS have announced that Ivan Chan grabbed the Tamiya Mini Championship this season. Mike San Antonio drove his mini to 2nd overall, and young up and coming racer Brandon Rogers took 3rd.

The Xray Challenge Hungary will be held on the weekend of the 13th of September at the PECS track in several electric and nitro on-road classes including Modified, 13.5T Boosted and 17.5T Blinky. The nitro categories will see large scale and 1/8th racing as well as EFRA and Stock 200mm classes. More information and the registration can be found here.
Round five of the Portuguese Electric Touring Car Nationals was held at the Torres Novas track, home of the forthcoming EFRA Euros. Hot weather conditions with temperatures of up to 35 degree Celsius made for trick track conditions with the low grip causing some troubles for the drivers. Bruno Coelho (Xray) was the man to beat in the Modified class as he took the TQ after the qualifiers and he won all three A-mains some two laps in front of the runner-up driver. At the end Joao Martinho (Yokomo) came in second while Fernando Cordeiro (Tamiya) rounded out the top 3 result.

The recent 2015 Desoto Grand Prix for Nitro On-road cars saw Brian Thomas taking the win in the 1/8th Open class while Tim Long came out successful in the 1/8th Masters category. In 1/8th GT it was Robbie Cerrato who took the winning honours.

Special guest Alexander Hagberg will teach all the latest and finest setup tips for the Xray T4’15 and participating at the workshop is free for everyone. Last weekend the Road Race Riccione track in Italy hosted the Hot Race Beach Cup 2015, a race event that sets a focus on the more fun aspects of racing with a lot of off track activities. The weekend started off on Thursday night with a go kart race at a nearby race centre that was won by Alessandro Bracci. On Friday, after a happy hour on the track, the drivers went to Coco Rico Beach next to the sea to have a drink together and to recharge the vital batteries with a typical sea dinner. Finally on Saturday everyone would have dinner and some music at the Villa delle Rose venue. As for the racing side of things in the Touring Car Modified class Ronald Völker, Alexander Hagberg and Alessio Menicucci would make the top 3 after the qualifying and Ronald would went on to win the finals from JJ Wang after Alexander suffered problems in the final legs. Just like in qualifying Alessio would round out the top 3.

The super fast circuit of Halifax was the venue for the BTCC this past weekend, virtually all racers turned up on Saturday for lots of practice time, the weather was dry and the forecast was good all day Saturday. However the forecast for Sunday was totally the opposite, everybody knew that very heavy rain was predicted in the early afternoon, so due to this the decision was taken to start the event slightly earlier on the Sunday morning, to try and get the event complete in the dry conditions. The format for the day was 4 rounds of qualifying with round by round and then 1 final for everyone. As forecast the rain held off until the last few heats of the final qualifying round, then a little started to fall here and there to make things a little more interesting. For the finals everyone was preparing their wet cars on wet tyres as it was a little moist. Colin Price took his form from the great win at the last BRCA National and stamped his authority in the Modified A-main, taking the win from Olly Jefferies and Chris Grainger.

At the recent Onroad Cup and final round of the European Bikes Series EBS in Aigen, Austria current Superbike World Champion Steff Polydor (Jabber/Roadies/Brainergy) took the first place from Simone Nascosti (Jabber/Roadies/EZ-Power). Micky Repetati (RG Evolution/GPR/Vampire Racing) rounded out the top 3 result.
