Festival Brazil Sul Race – Report

The CAAR track hosted the Festival Brazil Sul, a year end race in Southern Brazil with entries from three different southern states and even drivers from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in attendance. The 52 entries divided in the four classes of GT, Classics, 1/10th 200mmm and Touring Car Super Stock and the weekend started with good and hot weather conditions and track temperatures as high as 65°C which caused some problems for the drivers as the tyres started to overheat.

Schumacher BTCC 2015 – Announcement

Schumacher announce the full dates for the UK-based Schumacher BTCC series 2015. The six event series will be culminating in a BTCC/KO GP event at West London for the last round, reviving the KO GP style meeting that was lost over the years. More details on all the events will be available soon but the racers can expect; prizes from Schumacher’s range of products, race trophies, tracks open for practice on the Saturday if you wish, relaxed atmosphere with simple scrutinising but most importantly good fun racing. Muchmore Racing announce the signing of Australia’s Nathan Reese to their talented team of drivers. The NSW and ACT Indoor Championship title winner and multiple Australian Nationals A-finalist will use Muchmore products in his rides during his 2015 campaign.

Adik Haikal wins 13.5T Stock class at MNC

The 5th round of the Malaysia National Championship was held at the Titiwangsa track, a venue that will soon be torn down. Many RC enthusiasts in the region hope the state government will change their mind and preserve the track strategically located that attracts many newcomers. As for the racing, the 13.5T Stock class saw up and coming racer Adik Haikal taking the TQ and win and with it the overall championship title.

Tobias Hepp joins RB Products

Tobias Hepp joins RB Products

French company RB announce the signing of Tobias Hepp to their nitro team. The German talent will use RB engines in his 2015 campaign that will include appearances in the ENS series, the European Championships A in Ettlingen and the German Championships. Tobias has the following to say about the deal:

The torque of the RB CXR SLS9 engine is simply so good. I have made several engines tests and no doubt that the RB engines have got top level performances with a very good reliability too which is for me an important aspect too. I am looking forward to work with the RB factory team.

Hagberg & Cerny win at Charity Race

Hagberg & Cerny win at Charity Race

The 4th edition of the Charity Race was held at the permanent facilities of RC Landia in Scandiano, Italy with 150 entries split in four different classes. Alexander Hagberg managed to take a convincing win in the 1/12th scale category. Taking the TQ position by full points and winning the first two finals with a big margin, as well as setting a new lap record, it was a perfect weekend for the newly crowned 200mm World Champion.
