Elliott Harper announces departure from Durango

Elliott Harper announces departure from Durango

Former World Championship podium finisher Elliott Harper has confirmed that he has left Team Durango. The British racer has made the announcement following Durango’s news yesterday that they are dissolving their factory team. The former TRF team driver, who has helped with the development of Durango’s touring car project since signing for the UK based team back in early 2013 had the following to say:

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time racing for the UK-based Team Durango, and we have achieved some great results together. The highlights have been A main appearances at both the 2013 and 2014 European Championships, with a 3rd place podium finish in 2013. I would like to thank everyone at the team for their work and support over the past years and I wish them all the best for the future. However, I felt now was the right time for a change and for me to pursue new ventures. Therefore, I am grateful to Team Durango for agreeing to an early release from my current contract and happy that we part on good terms. I have not made any other decisions yet, and do not currently know where my future lies, but I will now take my time to carefully choose my new destination. My aim is to contend for the UK National title and podium results at ETS events, the European Championships and, importantly, the World Championship in Beijing in 2016. I am confident I will find the right team to give me the support necessary to achieve those goals. I would like to thank all my sponsors and friends worldwide for their on-going support, and I look forward to seeing everyone trackside very soon.
