AKA SC tires now pre mounted on Cyclone wheels

By popular demand AKA will be releasing all of their SC tires pre-mounted on their new Cyclone SC wheels. The Wishbone, Enduro, Gridiron and Cityblock will be available in soft and super soft on all four variants of the Cyclone wheel to fit Traxxas, Associated, Kyosho, HPI and Jammin’ trucks. AKA SC pre-mounts feature AKA’s industry first closed cell insert to ensure durability and balance of each tire. Each AKA SC pre-mount is hand assembled using AKA Premium Tire Glue ensuring that the tires stay glued to the wheel using the same process as they use to assemble their best selling 1:8 pre-mounts.

The Bar Code design is the freshest new SCT tire design from JConcepts racing development and regardless of class and scale the Bar Codes equals top notch performance. Like the name suggests the alternating bar design combined with the addition of the Y side bars provide uncompromising support for blue and black groove conditions as well as wet track indoor conditions. Available in Super Soft Green Compound the Bar Codes are a specialty tire that when matched to the appropriate track can provide amazing results. They are a part of the JConcepts special breed of tire, designed for maximum performance when new or used as the design allows even wear all the way down to the tire body. Associated SC10 pre mounts & KMC chrome wheels

New from Associated are these SC10 tires premounted on their new scale detailed chrome wheels. These heavy-duty threaded tires and shiny wheels are already glued and ready to take on the toughest challenges. A direct replacement, just use your existing hardware and turn your version of the SC10 into a custom ride. The new KMC chrome wheels are also available separately.

Video – How to glue the Pro-Line Caliber SC tire

The video above from Pro-Line Racing shows a neat trick on how to glue your SC tires to the wheels that ensures it wont bulge on the 2.2″ side. It adds a little extra work but the result is a secure tire that gives consistent performance and wont let you down when out on the track.

Pro-Line Sniper SC tire

New for the Short Course class, Pro-Line have released the Sniper. It uses the same design philosophy and technology as the Hole Shot, but scaled up to work on looser and dustier track conditions. After initial testing, Pro-Line team drivers Ryan Cavalieri and Travis Amezcua are already sold on the tire saying that the Sniper offers awesome forward traction and side bite on a variety of track conditions. The bigger pins also provide longer wear, giving you lasting traction through long A-mains.

Sneak Peak of JConcepts profiled closed cell inserts

With ROAR Electric off road Nationals taking place this week Leisure Hours in Joliet, IL, JConcepts are going all out with new product releases. The Florida based company have given us a sneak peek of their new profiled closed cell inserts. With no more details forthcoming, we will have to make do with the photo which shows the new 1/10th buggy rear, 1/10th 4wd front and SCT profiled insert.

CS Electronic Super Flex tire glue

CS Electronic have introduced their new line of Super Flex tire glue. As the name suggests, this glue has been specifically formulated for the gluing of rubber tires to plastic rims, it dries quickly and is very thin so it flows easily around the gluing surface. Perfect for all size tires including 1/5th and 1/6th.
