BMT 601 electric touring car kit

Italian brand BMT, know especially for their successful nitro on-road cars, have joined the 1/10th electric touring car game with the introduction of the BMT 601 4WD touring car. The vehicle is based on a symmetrical 2.3mm carbon fibre chassis for equal left-to-right flex characteristics and topped off by a 2mm carbon upper deck that allows for various flex settings. Compact and lightweight aluminium bulkheads take the front spool and rear gear differential with the spool featuring steel outdrives while the rear diff is equipped with composite internals and double O-rings. The centre pulleys are made from aluminium and the belts supplied in the kit are low-friction Bando belts for high drivetrain efficiency. On the suspension side of things the 601 features aluminium suspension mounts with hard composite inserts, the front and rear anti-roll bars use ball races for maximum precision and the bulkhead covers are a one-piece affair with the shock towers attaching using three bolts instead of the usual four. The kit is rounded out by mirror-polished and hard-coated aluminium shock absorbers with TiNi-coated shock shafts and all suspension parts are made from hard-compound plastic composite material.

Avid T4'16 aluminium chassis plate

Avid have introduced an aluminium chassis plate for the Xray T4’16 car. At 2mm thickness the chassis makes for an overall lower centre of gravity, the car can be run with lower suspension mounts and the 7075-T6 aluminium material makes for more torsional stiffness, improving handling especially on medium to high-grip surfaces. The 82mm wide chassis also features a battery tape slot on the bottom part, the motor pocket width is decreased and double pocketed to keep as much strength possible and the motor mount flex control hole has been modified with a large bevel on top of the chassis to prevent the screw head from hitting chassis. The part is a direct fit on the T4’16 and available now.

Axial RR10 soft rear sway bar set

Designed for high speed, Axial’s soft rear swaybar set for the recently announced RR10 will allow to soften up the vehicle’s suspension for jumps, while keeping torque twist and body lean to a minimum during acceleration. The set includes all needed mounting hardware and a soft swaybar wire.

Team Associated ProSC 4x4 V2 CVA upgrade kit

Team Associated have introduced the V2 CVA upgrade kit for the ProSC 4×4 short course truck. The kit gives all the parts needed to switch to the new CVAs for greater strength. The parts, that are also available separately, are not interchangeable with the stock items and they also fit the ProLite and ProRally.

Schumacher have introduced the new Core RC hauler bag. Designed to be a more manageable size at 29x44x50cm the bag features three draws that are being made in one piece robust moulded plastic with no assembly required. Made from high-quality material the bag sports subtle Core RC branding and it utilises an oversized zip for extra strength and durability. Underside plastic feet help to protect the canvas material of the hauler bag that fits comfortably under the parcel shelf of a regular hatchback.

Active MF01 aluminium option parts

Active Hobby Products soon have a range of aluminium option parts for Tamiya’s MF01 off-road chassis available. First up is the aluminium motor mount and under guard set that includes a machined motor plate, motor guard and fan mount to improve motor cooling in high ambient temperatures and when using brushed motors. The parts also protect the lower part of the motor while allowing to attach a 30mm fan at the same time. The set is available in blue, black, red and silver anodising.

STRC Ascender diff cover & PL beadlock rings

ST Racing Concepts have introduced an aluminium diff cover for the Vaterra Ascender truck as well as beadlock rings for Pro-Line crawler rims. Starting with the diff cover, the part was designed to improve the durability and add visual impact to the Ascender’s and Bronco’s front and rear axle. The high-quality CNC-machined aluminium cover is a direct replacement of the stock plastic piece and available in scale black, gun metal, or natural silver.

Avid RC8B3 carbon shock towers & alloy standoffs

Coming from Avid and made for the Team Associated RC8B3 buggy are front and rear carbon fibre shock towers and suitable aluminium shock standoffs. The 5mm front and 4mm rear tower have the shock standoff pockets removed to prevent the carbon from splitting while retaining the stock suspension geometry to make them a direct swap for the stock parts. The included standoffs are of a -1mm design to keep the standard shock angle, they are made from high-quality alloy material and using both the towers and standoffs scrubs around 40 percent of weight for a lower centre of gravity and improved handling. The parts are available as combo set with two towers and four standoffs and they are also sold separately for spares or repair.
