Cucalon wins 3rd Kia Championships

The 3rd running of the Kia Championships took place at the very nice looking and technical El Oro RC Club track in Machala, Ecuador. The event which was open to 1/10th 200mm gas racers attracted over 50 drivers from Ecuador, Columbia and Peru and in qualifying it was local Mugen racer Alex Cucalon that took the top qualifying spot ahead of Serpent racer Jose Bravo in 2nd. The 45 minute A-main saw no problems for the pole man as Cucalon could pull away to a 3 lap advantage over eventual 2nd placed finisher Bravo with the final podium spot going to another Serpent racer Fernand Surin in 3rd.
