BRCA 1/12th Nationals Round 1

Mirage Racing are reporting on last weekends first round of the 1/12th scale Nationals, that were run indoors in Milton Keynes. The event was open to both 19 Turn and Modified with the former being run on Saturday before the Modifieds took to the track on Sunday. In the 19Turn class, it was 19T Touring car National Champion Chris Kerswell that took the pole position from Mick Farrell and Andy Griffiths in 2nd and 3rd. The start of the final saw a number of collisions that involved many of the front runners, leaving Matt White to take the lead and despite pressure from Keith Robertson he could hold on for the win, with Robertson in 2nd and Mark Stiles in 3rd. The Modified class was a continuation from where National Champion Andy Griffiths left off last year with the Hot Bodies driver taking the pole position ahead of Keith Robertson and Mark Stiles. In the final Andy could get straight into the lead pursued by Robertson and a fast starting Mick Farrell in 3rd, which was how it stayed for the full 8 minutes, Andy taking the win for Hot Bodies ahead of Asso driver Robertson in 2nd and Farrell for HB in 3rd.
