Traxxas have announced the new Slash 4×4, the follow up to their very popular class defining 2wd Short Course truck. Supplied with a super efficient shaft drive, new race bred suspension, new steering system, new licensed BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, Revo sealed differentials, Velineon brushless power and a TQ 2.4Ghz radio system it claims a top speed of 40+mph with the included 3000mAh 7-cell battery pack and they claim that if you drop the Mamba Monster into it, it will top 80+mph. The chassis is made from a single ultra rigid piece of strategically ribbed plastic that can easily resist flexing caused by the high torque brushless motor powering the new ultra efficient 4wd drivetrain. For looks the car comes in 4 different race replica bodies including the no. 47 and 25 Traxxas race trucks of Mike and Mark Jenkins as well as the Scott Douglas/Mark Oberg Amsoil edition and Jerry Welchel edition.
