Adam Drake wraps up Losi Winter Series title

Drake & Schreffler win Rd3 of Losi Winter Series

Losi Novarossi team driver Adam Drake has TQ’d both 1/8th pro buggy and truck this weekend at the final round of the Losi Winter Series hosted by Revelation Raceway.  In the final Mike Truhe and Adam Drake made a mistake on lap one which allowed team mate Matt Castellano to take over the lead and never look back. Matt won followed by Mike Truhe and Adam Drake making it a Losi podium sweep. In the truck class Drake and Cody King had a good battle early in the race, but Adam was able to pull a large gap on Cody late in the race and take home the victory followed by Cody King and Matt Schreffler in third. Exclusive – Protoform P56-Nitro sedan body

Exclusive - Protoform P56-Nitro sedan body

Protoform have given us the Exclusive first look at their all new P56-Nitro sedan 200mm body. This body is designed to be a more compact race body, thus offering superior response while giving excellent down force levels. This body adheres to the EFRA “Global Body Spec” rules as well as all ROAR body rules. The large aggressive wing sits upon 2 oversize wing stands that allow for larger wing screws and quick track side adjustments. Two small molded-in shark fins support the outer ends of the wing and prevent distortion at high speed. The P56-N is ROAR approved and is on the IFMAR ‘approved body’ list for this summer’s IFMAR Worlds in Houston TX. Made of high quality lexan, it’s available in 2 weights, ‘Lite’ and an even lighter weight ‘Pro-Lite’. It comes with a protective coating for easy painting. The body has been tested and given a “thumbs up” by racers like Mike Swauger and Scott Kimbrow. The P56-N will be available on May 5/10.

Glyn Beal wins BRCA Sports GT Rd2

Glyn Beal wins BRCA Sports GT Rd2

Glyn Beal sent us a report on the second round of the BRCA sports GT championship held at the Cotswold track last weekend. On Saturday morning the weather was dry and sunny, but didn’t get much practice due to painting and cutting out new GTP body shells. A big thanks to Keith from Kamtec for producing this shell in a short period of time. First impressions were that everyone liked this new shell because it made car easy to set up and quicker. When I finally got on the track in the afternoon, the car was very quick from the start and both Lee Chapman and I both set the same best lap times which was a 16.6. I decided not to do much more practice as the car was going great and then of course the rain came.
